Can't see this rabble getting anything out of the game. The gloss has well and truly worn off the new "manager".

May as well play the youth team.

Got exactly what we deserved from the game, nothing. I would be lying if I said the sending off changed the game as it didn’t. Really disappointed with that performance especially 2nd half as I thought we would come out fighting but both Jamie and Iain failed to turn up and Kieran was poor too.

I agree with the first point you make, we never deserved anything today however I thought I thought we played better after the sending off.

Today highlights the ridiculous recruitment over the past few years, we are absolutely rank rotten down our right hand side and Jim has got nowt on the bench.

Three in the middle failed to dictate the match and poor defending at their goal.

Onwards to next week.

Can't blame recruitment. Previous regime spent a lot and spent wisely. Poor management. Simple.

Discussing these players is a good parlour game, but we aren't going to be signing  any of them, we have to be a touch more realistic.

I don't expect to see anyone in, I suspect Jim's comment is more about being seen to try something - but let's see, and let's keep hoping.

Why do we care what Tony says or does. He's nothing to do with United now.

If we must discuss it here, can we see both sides of the discussion (i.e. what was said to Tony in the first place)? This is a very one-sided post.

Hamid is returning to Washington via Heathrow this evening so it looks like Birghitti will be our number one for the remaining games.

Personal terms couldn't be agreed.

Jim Goodwin is an outstanding choice. It didn't quite work out at Aberdeen but I think we can lay the blame at the door of his players for that.

He worked wonders at both Alloa and St Mirren, and I believe he is just the man we need.

I think we all expect Tony to leave soon. Possibly within 24 hours. I just hope giving the fans what they want pays dividends.

Do we?
Based on what?
Because the newspapers have picked up on random rumours from fans forums 🤦‍♂️

Nonsense. It's less risky than virtually any other appointment that could be made. We know how Levein works, and we know that his approach is exactly what's required at this time.

That's a bullish statement to make. He was last here 13 years ago and was dismissed from his last managerial position with Hearts in freefall. Football has changed since he was last here, personnel and budgets have changed, and maybe he has changed too.

That being said - if it is to be Craig, it's the duty of every United fan to back him to the hilt, starting with a huge crowd on Saturday.

May I ask what Liam Fox did to be considered worthy of the Dundee United job? His record at Cowdenbeath was mediocre

If that's directed at me, then I'm not sure why. I didn't appoint Liam, but like all Dundee United managers once he had the job I backed him to the hilt.

I notice nobody actually answered my question about what Jim McInally has done to be considered worthy of the job, aside from a post about his team working hard in 2020, and being a former player who would care about the club.

For what it's worth, Jim had a win record of 44% with the Peterhead spending most of its time between League 1 and League 2 during his time in charge.

If he was to be appointed I would, of course, give him my full backing.

That record isn't even that bad. I feel you are being overly harsh and somewhat dismissive of Jim McInally's record there.

Peterhead are a small team who were a Highland League team until about 20 years ago.

Despite struggling to attract signings like the Cntral belt teams due to their remore location, McInally won the club their first ever trophy in the SPFL by winning the League Two title in 2014.

In 2015 he took them to their first Cup Final in the SPFL as they met Rangers in the Challenge Cup Final.

They are playing roughly where they should be for a club of their size, and for awhile he had them punching above their weight. They have always been fit, organised and hungry as didplayed by their performance at Tannadice in 2020 and more recently in their Scottish Cup tie against Dundee, where although they were beaten on the night they played largely the better football and were very unlucky.

We are only looking for someone to take the club for about a dozen games and ensure we stay up. We could

A sad night for the club. Difficult to know who comes in next. Immediate stand outs might be Goodwin, Lennon, Martindale or Hughes. As an outsider perhaps Lampard, who will be desperate to restore his reputation, but the financial package might be beyond our means.

Either way its up to us, the fans, to back the new gaffer to the hilt.

We are bottom, leaking goals and not scoring enough under an abysmal uninspiring coach.
We have by and large a worthless gutless squad and backroom team assembled by a clueless Sporting Director at great cost. Remember we are still paying wages for a number of players who are on loan.
At the head of this shambles is a deluded in-denial owner who's measures of success are clearly not the same as the fans.
Demanding fans to bail out their failure is not an option and is quite frankly unacceptable.

Where to from here? We beat Ross County on Saturday in front of a racuous away support. Three points is all the matters.

We can say many things about how the season has gone, but Mark Ogren is not greedy and he is not looking to asset strip United.

He's doing the best he can and has well and truly put his money where is mouth is. Without Mark Ogren there might not have been a Dundee United anymore.

I don't see any benefit for either party in Mr Asghar moving on right now. The transfer window has closed, we have the squad we have, now it's time for the players to step up and adopt a siege mentality.

The club is overdue a full review, but the summer is the best time for that.

Yup, good enough!

Deluded!

Let's not turn each other as fans. I made a prediction, I was wrong, but insults aren't the answer.

I actually thought we were unlucky today. Both teams tried to win the game, we were undone by some poor decision making late on. I think the players were brave in possession and nobody hid. Head and shoulders above last week's rather poor performance.

The teams around us also lost, so let's move on to next week's absolutely massive game.
