It's been multiple managers that have us playing this way. Its clearly the ethos drilled into coaches at Largs.

Promoted or not, he needs to go. Serial bottler.

We've started doing what we did last season gifting goals in the first 15mins of games. I cannot believe how bad we are at the moment.

I've heard it's because of the costs involved of catering and stewarding a two tier stand it's
cheaper to keep it closed.

We’re fine winning the run of mill turgid championship games that we should be winning, but it’s Goodwin’s record in the big games that concerns me, the signs have been there for a while now that when the pressure is on in the must-win games, Goodwin bottles it. In hindsight, we should’ve known this from the last 5 games of last season, that was a bottle-job like no other.

This for me. His inability to get results in the big games is what concerns me. Yes we are top of the league(for now) and our goal difference that we've built up in the first half of the season is impressive. But we are bottling this big time.

I keep going back to that Raith game at Starks Park. Raith went and made subs to go and win the game while our changes and tactics were all about holding on for a draw.
That's when I decided he needed to gtf.

Goodwin might be fine at a club the size of St Mirren where mid table is deemed success but he proved at Aberdeen he couldn't handle the demands and expectations of a bigger club and he's doing the same here.

I dunno how many results like this it's going to take for people to realise we are in serious danger of staying in this league for years like last time. Because we are throwing this league away with results like this.

Goodwin imo cost us that Game with his tactics last night. But talk of the sack is daft.

This ponderous attacking style that we have annoys the fuck out of me. It's slow, predictable and makes it incredibly easy to defend against us.

Thing is though is that it's not a Goodwin trait it's been a trait we have had probably since the Micky Mellon days and I don't understand why.

Another wee thing that annoyed me from Friday. When Walton got wiped out by that wee shit Hamilton I'm wanting more of our players running up and getting in his face. Instead it just fired them up meanwhile we are just looking around not even interested. But again that seems to be inherent to the club rather than the manager.

Agree with all of that as usual.

This delaying going forward allowing them to get behind the ball and into position time and time again last night was frustrating as hell. No surprise that when we actually attacked them direct we had them under pressure.

1-0 United in a scrappy game with few clearcut chances.

Last night was dreadful same as last week.
Michael Stewart had it spot on when he said we lacked intensity, same as last week. There's no urgency to get the ball forward. It's back to last season where teams look incredibly comfortable defending against us because we give them plenty time to get back into position.

That was Queens Park first clean sheet in something like 8 games. We should be comfortably beating a team bottom of the league with the worst defence in the league.

I've never been sold on Goodwin, but I gave him a chance like I have with any manager of Dundee United. In his defence he has us organised at the back. Our defensive record is comfortably the best in the league and we are only 5 points off Raith with a game in hand, so he's not going anywhere anytime soon.

But the big problem is we only signed 1 attacking player in the summer, our bench last night had no one that you thought they'll come on and change up the game for us. We're threadbare in attack and Goodwin never seems to have a plan B. All our attacking players seem out of form right now and there's no one to replace them with. So while we don't look like conceding in games right now, the problem is we never look like scoring.

Next month is going to be huge for the club.

First game ive managed to get to for a while but really disappointed by that performance today.

A real opportunity to put a bit of daylight between us and them and we just never turned up.

Felt the midfield created nothing, Moults form seems to have dropped off. Middletons corners were awful, needs to be doing extra practice on them in training or get someone else to take them.

We are so slow getting the ball up the pitch, lost count of the times we would move the ball down the wing and then take an age to whip the ball in meanwhile allowing Raith to get numbers back into the box, so frustrating to watch.

Goodwin should take note at how Raith on the break got the ball quickly up into our box that's what we should he doing instead of this ponderous passing in our own half

Also this keeping two players in our box at goal kicks needs put in the bin.

Thought we were poor first half yesterday. Was a poor goal to concede there best player was on his own in the middle of the box for a free header and a free rebound.

Second half we dominated for large spells but lacked that cutting edge upfront until Moult came on. He took his goal really well. Grimshaw had a poor game, couple of his errors almost cost us as well.

We were frustratingly slow getting the ball forward for large parts of that game. I understand its all about keeping possession and waiting for the space to open up, but th amount of times moves broke down in the middle of the pitch and went back to Walton was unreal. First half especially we were sloppy as hell giving the ball away on simple passes. The conditions weren't great but the pitch was in a better state than I expected, seems to have excellent drainage.

Still undefeated though so that's a big positive.
