If we know its a lighter then there is no reason for anyone to be holding a lighter in the ground. Anyone fragile enough to throw any object for any reason needs a ban.

Seems some folk think its ok to dig out abuse to players for 90 mins but as soon as something comes back they start crying.

Scott Burns pouring cold water on this one. Saying his wages are way out with what Utd can afford.

It doesn't look like any new signings are imminent despite Goodwin saying he expected two more in for the Falkirk game.

Really disappointing tbh.

The player himself aside, I find that comment a bit strange from Burns regarding wages. Either our budget is extremely low despite so many outgoings and European football which would be really disappointing or just exactly how much are Hearts overpaying him??

i saw the hearts first team photo today, 31 players in it (plus another 2 today?) & Dhanda didn’t look happy

Why is the Aberdeen game abandoned and we're not getting an extra day post Euro game??

Is Aberdeen's euro game in the play off round rather than a qualifier ? and the SPFL allow a club to postpone1 league game which falls in the same window as the euro match.

so we can't do this for Rapid as its still a qualifying round but could do it if we get into the round after as its play off.

Might have this wrong of course.

I doubt they could afford the compensation fee, there must be some financial jiggery pokery going on.

They'll have offered a contract so the compensation clause kicks in, whether he's accepted it......

That makes the most sense i suppose, ties in with him looking like he doesnt want to be there although that may not be true at all. Does anyone know how he got on at southampton, it obviously wasnt a success to the point they wanted to sign him but i remember him scoring a double earlier in the season and heard nothing since.

Dont know anything about the boy dewar but adams seemed to have a decent spell at kelty? and is surley worth keeping and putting out on loan at a higher level so he can be recalled if an injury happens to new keeper/dave. Hopefully next season he could push to be number 2 or even 1. Im assumimg newman is now away?

I will probably catch myself out here. I dont like to be negative about young players. Rory may well be disappointed the Southampton thing hasn't worked out but that in itself may say something. I Don't pretend to be able to comment on how a player feels from a couple of seconds video but the circumstances may feed through. I've read comments about his time at forfar but I've never seen anything really hard and fast to back them up other than perhaps his playing time.

Bizarrely I was talking to my Mrs work colleague who has an Alloa ST. He said Charlie was pretty solid most of the time but had the odd moment. Only to be expected for his age I suppose.

I agree with your comments about ruaridh. I think he really suffered with Keltys mulgrew appointment shambles but a good learning experience for him. I do worry he might struggle to get a good loan this season which may be complicated by our European place. Perhaps he'll be around to the January window.

Newman is away.

All went very quiet regards the likes of Charlie Dewar, Ruairidh Adams, Lewis O'Donnell.

Also, Glenn Middleton. I know he maybe isn't in a rush to sign, but given how many players we need in this Summer, i can't imagine Goodwin wants to give him too long to decide.

P.s. also strange how Rory MacLeod has never been mentioned yet as released. He's out of contract.

I'm pretty sure OD is already contracted for 25/6. If offers have been made to the other two it will be difficult for them to find another club, in Scotland, who will be prepared to pay the compensation to get them if they don't decide/want to stay.

Anyway I saw Adams was on holiday on his Insta yesterday.

And it’s even more pathetic that we aren’t able to call on any academy players to step up.

Am assuming you mean the players who have come through the 'Academy'. I'm sure players like Thompson, Stirton Adams and perhaps O'Donnell and Dewar are good enough to be involved. I'm not sure now their loans are over they're back to being United players. Even allowing for this the gaffer's got to want them involved regardless.

these guys have played 40plus weeks football without a decent break. If they know they need to find a new club this gives them a chance to do so before this season is finished.

It's a long season, yes.

But the majority of our players have had two week breaks regularly in the past two or three months.

Our focus shouldn't be individuals future moves, and i don't mean that in a callous way.

Priority should be solely on the next five games, only. We have a huge fight for 3rd and 4th.

A fight we are the underdog in.

I assume when you mean two week breaks you mean there has been a Saturday there hasn't been a match day. The guys have still trained. In comparison I understand St Mirren players were given all of last week off.

I don't think the focus is on individual moves, its just like any Company that employs contractors, they come to the end of their contract, some may be asked to stay for others it will be thanks and good bye. The HR people deal with that side, the majority of the football people will deal with football stuff.

You'll definitely not get the best out of people if there's uncertainty particularly those who could have a geographical move.

I'm sure the players will be focused on the next 5 games regardless.
