Not a rumour but I can see us going for Michael smith from hearts, fits the bill that Goodwin was speaking about after Motherwell in his presser

Agreed. He is arguably better than both Smith and Freeman. Think he could be a good experienced head who could possibly bring Freeman's game on too - he has been far too inconsistent over the last few years.

Also think we may take a look at Richard Tait at St Mirren - can play fullback on either side. He has also worked under Goodwin previously and enjoyed a good spell at St Mirren.

Would love us to take a look at Omeonga, just released by Livi- always looked tidy against us.

Michael Smith's legs have gone. No from me.

Quite a few Premier League teams like Hearts and Hibs will deffo be interested. I wouldn't even be surprised if Celtic or Rangers took a punt on him, on more than one occasion the wee man was the best player on the park against them. We've got no chance.

Went through a list of Premiership players that are out of contract at the end of the season. This is the few who may be worth looking at, some more than others. Massive lack of strikers there, and we know from previous season’s in the Championship that it’s a position you need to get right.

Sam Walker - GK (Kilmarnock)
Conor Hazard - GK (Celtic)
Kieran Wright - GK (Rangers)
Ross Stewart - GK (Hearts)
Scott Fox - GK (Motherwell)
Stephen O’Donnell - RB (Motherwell)
Keith Watson - RB (Ross County)
Paul McGinn - RB (Motherwell)
Jack Fitzwater - RCB (Livingston)
Dan Casey - RCB (Motherwell)
Mikey Devlin - RCB (Hibernian)
Alex Iacovitti- LCB (Ross County)
Stephane Omeonga - DM (Livingston)
Dean Campbell - DM (Aberdeen)
Liam Donnelly - DM (Kilmarnock)
Jason Holt - CM (Livingston)
Sean Goss - CM (Motherwell)
Andrew Shinnie - CM (Livingston)
Robert Snodgrass - CM (Hearts)
Matty Kennedy - RW (Aberdeen)
Fraser Murray - RW (Aberdeen)
Gary Mackay-Steven - LW (Hearts)
David Wotherspoon - AM ( St. Johnstone)
Liam Polworth - AM (Kilmarnock)

Off that list, I’d absolutely be trying to get Fitzwater, Iacovitti & Casey at the back. Stephen O’Donnell surely to fuck has to be an upgrade on Smith and Freeman. Jason Holt would be a brilliant signing for us. Wotherspoon another one who would probably be a smart signing. Matty Kennedy maybe would offer us something on the wing. And GMS if his body can still take professional football would obviously be a major improvement on what we have

I'd take Fitzwater, Holt and Kennedy. I'd probably take Polworth as well if he could replicate his performance last night, he was excellent for them.

When he, Asghar, Fox et al repeatedly told fans to 'trust the process' last season, could he explain what 'the process' actually is????

And, should we still trust it?

So it's a choice between the 17 year old laddie who's not an out and out striker or the winger who is just back and looked a stone overweight last Saturday?

Lars, the success of any club is cultivated by stability and we are building a long-term coaching staff and strategy.

Went to the Utd reserves match against Motherwell on Tuesday (it was in East Kilbride).

Thought Robson and (particularly) Watson were poor. I can't see the latter making it, i'm afraid to say.

Not at any good level anyway.

Worth noting for balance that for the most part, Hutchison and particularly Robson were seemingly excellent for Forfar on loan. It was just the last 4 weeks that their levels dropped (Robson's more than Hutchison).

Seen it on Sunday. Totally meh.

Nice touches with his daughter and with Marie Anne Creed. Lacked a real punch and agree that no Sly makes it weaker. Adonis is likeable but lacks the underdog spirit of Rocky.

I hope to god we get a win from somewhere on Sunday but I fear our growing injury list coupled with our already wafer thin, unbalanced squad and dreadful goalkeeper has now made an already difficult task almost impossible. I'm worried.

Worth also noting in our current personnel crisis that there is absolutely NOBODY from within the academy who appears able to come in and plug the gaps in the team/squad. Fotheringham has been average at best, there are no hints of a central midfielder, a right back or a forward who could come in and do a job for any of the remaining 8 games. Champions League players though.

Thanks Tony, you've done an amazing job 👍

We also need a better right sided centre half. Preferably one who can pass the ball better than Liam Smith (ie anybody).

Yes they said that Levitt was out with a hamstring injury last night.

Probably a result of Fox leaving him on for about 15 minutes at the end of The Rangers game rather than put Meekison on who he he clearly doesn't rate and only appears to be on the bench to make up the numbers and so the club can say there is x amount of academy graduates in the squad.
