Lost in amongst the hysteria of Fuchs kicking the boy in the face on Wednesday night was how horrible Fuchs leg bent backwards when he did it. It looked absolutely awful. I honestly thought it looked like a career ender.

Its absolutely pathetic that a football club with over 50 players does not have a single player who can cross the ball. I still maintain that the reason we lose a lot of goals from cross balls is because we can't practice defending them at training because no attacker can put decent ball in for us to try and win.

I never post on EF but I look in occasionally, they always give my blog a shout so its all good with me. Not been the same since Major Major Major Major (recently) and 2010Wevedoneitagain stopped posting though.

I thought episodes 1-3 weren't great. Episode 5 was magic. Everything really falls into place after that. I do agree that you could have padded this series out to 20 episodes easily, particularly Miguel and Demitri's rehab. I enjoyed the series even more as a whole on the second watch.

Shankland and McNulty haven't played up front 'together' bar the last 35 minutes on Saturday. Shankland's been stuck up front on his own with McNulty about 30 yards away from him, stuck out wide right of midfield and times virtually playing as an extra right back in Mickennachio. Hardly a sound basis for judging their merits as a strike pairing.

McMullan played well on Saturday. First time this season he's been played wide right.

There is a divide between those who think the current dire standard is the best this team can produce and those who (myself included) think the current players are capable of producing better than this and are being held back by the managers approach and tactics. And yet it is the latter group who are being branded as negative.

I'm guessing you've got plenty of Friday nights free next season which is why you're not bothered.
