The likelihood would be that you would get Ferguson along with Billy Dodds and the all-knowing tactical oracle: Neil McCann.

Rumour that Goodwin and Capuano have fallen out over budgets. Luigi seemingly wanting Barry Ferguson in as manager 😂

Surely we start playing SCH and stirton for the sheer sell on value both will have when they 100 game under there belt.
Watters and Bert are miles off it atmWe have to get back to just playing the best players available regardless of age.
And not because of 'sell on value' or because of our 'player trading model' and bullshit like that.
Not a go at you Mario btw and i would like to see those two young lads playing more than the other two you cite, but not for potential future monetary gain. Just because i think they might offer more to us in the short term.
For me, part of the 'cancer' around our club these past few years has been the obsession with punting any young player we can, and often for buttons.
How can the fans ever feel a sense of community or excitement about the much vaunted Academy if we never see these lads really play for us?
Feel like we've been saying this the entirety of the Ogren era. Despite the likes of Andy Goldie, Adam Asghar, Chris McIntosh and now Scott Allison telling us regularly how amazing it is all going. Where is the evidence? What players are imminently ready to go from Academy to First team in the next 12-18 months? And be regulars?
Sounds like constant propaganda with nothing to back it up, does it not?
Though here's the thing, they'll need to start backing it up if they're going to start getting the begging bowl out and once again approach the DUSF and other United fan groups for more funding in light of the SFA cuts.
I'd suggest far more scrutiny towards the constant 'benevolent' hand-out's. That seem to just be fascilitating Ogren's plan of 'spinning the roullette table' and hoping for a big win, rather than us ever wanting to actually put a young, talented Scottish side on the park to play and win games for United.
Which is what it should be all about.

A real pleasant surprise last night. What a difference when we play on the front foot. More of the same in the derby please.

Our record there historically is atrocious.

I thought Dolcek looked completely disinterested again last night. He was playing right in front of our support and was still lazy as fuck. I was hoping he might read the room and make more of an effort given that when he came on we were on top but nope. A couple of other players had a go at him but he just looked blissfully unaware of what they were annoyed at him about. A very arrogant individual by the looks of things.

Watched it a few weeks ago. Brilliant, funny and heartbreaking in equal measure. Maxine Peake's abysmal Scottish accent probably the only low point.

That's what happens when the budget you are given by the Chairman is poor even compared to the bottom half of the league. So, you end up shopping in the bargain basement aisle and are forced to take a punt on boys that other clubs won't touch because of their injury records.

There's six of us who go to games together. I'm the only one going on Wednesday. That speaks volumes.
It'll be the same team as Saturday I suspect other than the horror of Moeller up front instead of Watters who looked burst after an hour.
We should have a go at them. They are fucking awful. We won't. We'll play for a 0-0 and get pumped 3-0. I've never called for Goodwin's head but I'm getting close. Unless the midfield is addressed in January along with getting in someone who can coach the team how to build attacks through the midfield and dictate games then his arse should be out the door by January.

Scottish clubs should scrap the whole thing. Let English clubs take on paying for developing young Scottish players since they are awash with cash and we aren't. Scottish clubs should then take on the decent Scottish players who are let go from English academies at ages 17+.
Btw I take no pleasure from saying this. I grew up watching Utd teams bring through swathes of young players in a 5 year period like Gallacher, Welsh, McKinlay, Main, O'Neil, McKinnon, Cleland, Ferguson, Connolly, McLaren, Dailly, Bollan, Johnson, Preston, Hannah, Perry, Winters most u21/full caps.
But the financial realities are stark, plus the best ones leave after a handful of games whilst the ones who stay are often not trusted or rated by managers and drop down the leagues very quickly. It's a very depressing situation.
Even the supposedly better ones going down to England at 16-17 are not making it either. The difference is they end up playing 5 years in academy football on 5 grand a week with huge financial incentives for their parents before not making it.
