Yeah, he took a heavy tackle on the ankle. The same boy who done it then nailed another Utd player straight after.

Ben Perry latest player linked. Nottingham Forest player who played a good number of games at Northampton on loan last season.

Better off with Den Perry, he'd light the place up at least.

Noticed Rory McLeod was back in first team training in the video posted today. No sign of Meshack or Odada, I wonder if they've been told not to bother coming back.

Suspect Odada, Mseshack and Trapanovski have all been given an extra week off which might explain their absence from the video.

Odada: The Serbian season went on longer than ours I think since they have play offs. I don't know this but did Kenya have a June international?

Meshack: Livi went right to the play off finals which finished 26th of May. Although Meshack didn't play he'll still have been training since he was in the squad.

Trapanovski: Was away with North Macedonia the other week in the two internationals.

I seem to recall the 83/84 adidas strip had a horizontal stripe on it

Good shout Mac B.

And a lot of our other Adidas tops thereafter for a few years had diagonal stripes down the shirt of different gradients of tangerine, with the clubs Lion logo going up and down the stripes. Absolutely everything the club produced in the 80's was of a Gold standard.

That was my first Utd strip as a bairn. Absolutely loved it.

Thank goodness, looks a really good addition and lots of good things said about him. Cringeworthy interview once again though.

Welcome aboard Pan

What do you mean again? Yannis is actually really good at interviewing players, miles better than Joe Rice or the boy Mark that used to do them. It’s just there’s an obvious language barrier and the boy’s clearly not understanding some of the questions, thats all.

It's just the same generic questions though, I just think sometimes it's too awkward as well for the incoming player. It's hard enough for them not being fluent in English, but the broad Scottish accent doesn't help much either. I find the whole thing a bit difficult to watch personally.

Agreed. He just asks the same questions to everyone. He needs to read the room a bit more.

Dundee United » New Head of Recruitment » 20/5/2025 9:41 pm

Be interesting to see how long he lasts before moving on to a 'bigger' job. None of these boys ever seem to stay in jobs very long (Academy Directors are the same) especially at United. The cynic in me says these people make a career out of pissing off before they are ever held to account.

Personally I don't think Middleton should be near the team but to leave him on the right wing all 2nd half when he's not got a right foot & almost everything was breaking down when he got the ball rather than sticking him on the left (where he looked dangerous 1st half) is mental.

That said, I reckon the last 2 managers have tried to put an arm round Middleton's shoulder and tbh, I'm getting sick his huffy, half-arsed performance s. It's about time someone booted his lazy, fat arse out the door.

Ogren is a big part of the problem. The budget this season was seemingly much lower than people think (11th in the league I think) and the backing was poor in January yet again. Goodwin's been hamstrung by this. This needs to change in the summer.

Don't suppose Louis Moult could do a turn at centre half like what Jon Daly did back in the day?

Id have him as an option for these last three games too tbh

Not allowed to do that unfortunately. Have to be recalled before the end of March. Remember us getting done for that in 2016.

The play offs from L1 to the Champ don't work like that. It's two 2-legged semi finals (2nd bottom Champ vs 4th Lg 1 and 2nd v 3rd then winners play in the final). The only difference is who gets the home advantage in the 2nd leg.
