Goodwin confirmed Docherty will not make it on Saturday. I would add that Sibbald looked nothing like fit on Saturday when he came on. Goodwin also said he's still in pain/discomfort. Be surprised if he starts Saturday.

Agree though Watt and Middleton should be dropped when both Sibbald and Docherty are fully fit again, with Glass moving forward and Fotheringham starting.

A shite ref & some ‘anti football’ tactics shouldn’t stop us getting more than 1/2 shots on target vs Morton at home.

As soon as we can choose 2 CMs from Sibbald / Docherty / Tillson, I’d play Glass in Watts current position. IMO we’d see an instant difference

100% agree. Fotheringham in for Middleton too.

someone on Mad saying Mochrie has been told that he can find another club

Mental if true. Watt hasn't done anything in his new position. When Sibbald/Docherty return I'd be looking for two from them and Tilson in the two sitting positions, with Glass or Mochrie further forward behind Moult.

I'd also add Middleton continues to offer little as well. Contrast that with Cudjoe and Fotheringham in recent games.

And Mochrie injured as well. I wish we kicked fuck out of opposing teams in games the way we seem to kick fuck out of each other in training.

Seemingly Moore injured as well.  Maybe Glass in then.

Unfortunately, I think we'll lose this one. Not so much because we have players missing, but more because our record down there is absolutely terrible. Their support always get right behind them and in previous Championship years we always seemed to just collapse under the pressure.

If I'm proved wrong here (and I really hope I'm wrong), it'll make a big statement about our ability to be title favourites.

2-0 Ayr.

Reckon it's a cert that we'll wear the away strip on Saturday down at Carlisle and it'll be released on Monday when people have been paid. This will have been done deliberately to maximise sales of the home strip then try and encourage people to part with dough for the away strip when they feel a bit more flush.

Some would say this is good business, others would say it's a cynical way of exploiting punters.

Was grimshaw good at right back???

He's comfortable on the ball, which is a huge step up from Freeman and Smith. Not sure how he'll be with a winger running at him but he was decent. We need to sign a better centre half and a right winger.

Sibbald is so far ahead of everybody else in the team it's embarrassing.

Watt is fucking terrible as is Middleton.

Just watched the goal again.  The young Cardiff boy definitely to blame for letting the ball bounce in the first instance so the major culprit.  (Hope he learns not to do that again as otherwise I thought he dealt with the game not too badly).

However, there were other failures:
 - two midfielders ball watching and fail to keep up with the Spartans player who ends up getting the crucial touch assist.
- Freeman initially does OK to show the player the outside only and then doesn't do enough to shepherd him out/stop the cross.
- the keeper and another defender go front post which is possibly OK although they are too close and the cut back takes them out of the game.
- the player at left-back (presumably McMann) loses the boy who gets the tap in because he gets drawn to the ball when arguably he doesn't need to.

For me main culprit is Denham, but if the two midfielders are not ball watching they deal with the boy who gets the assist.  A horrible goal to lose.

Also, I have seen some comment on other forums that United fans were out of order on the 'Bowman video'.  I have to say I was a little taken a back at the ferocity of some, but given last season and what was a truly woeful performance by the vast majority on the park, the club really can't be surprised.  I'm assuming someone said something personal to Bowman as his reaction seemed somewhat OTT.

For me it was as much a reaction to last season and the clearly ineffective close season (in terms of squad rebuilding) than against any individuals (bar Goodwin and Watt).

Seemingly the boy shouted "Stop fucking up my club." to Bowman.
