Deary me, thought we had got away from this, he should get his jotters for that. Totally goes against all of the development planning for the Scottish FA in that they are trying to get technically gifted players rather than puntball!!

I do enjoy the banter on here and was delighted when TEK Towers opened it's door as i was a long time viewer on Mad and posted a couple of times but didn't feel like anyone took me on and it was the same boys always dominating the threads.

Pretty measured debates on here and boys that seem to think about things before just spewing out any old shite.

Keep up the good work laddies!!!

Think we are about the right place considering the loss of players which is a board decision imo as Jackie is not going to be pushing the likes of Robertson or Gauld out the door.

As has been said he talks a bloody good game but it's not really happening on the pitch, mentality, mentality, mentality is mentioned almost every week. If they've not go it then he needs to strip the squad of the weak willed and get winners in. Only he and the Chairman can make that happen

although i'd say thanks for your service but bye to Dillon, Rankin, Paton and Erskine...we need more strength, pace and grit in there....not gonna win fuck all with decent pro's...you get away with one or two...not 5

would genuinely like to see two up top...i'm convinved Bilate and Anier would work...although Anier seems to be this seasons last seasons Erskine

I'd keep Paton but the others have ? Next them!

Think we have seen the last of not so Super Mario. By all accounts he's homesick and this mystery other hamstring injury is his angle to go back to Amsterdam ASAP.

I will go we you boys then, my boy is not coaching staff so maybe different for some.

Need to keep him, most valuable person at the club given young boys want to work with him and we seem to produce some good young players

You are right TEK, we are all sick of losing players and there is no question we are now sitting with only one or two bright lights in the squad but we should be looking to finish 2nd or 3rd each year and to have at least one good cup run. In my opinion we are now left with a squad who are maybe 18mths away from being ready to go again so the summer is gonna be huge for the shape of our team next season.

My Mole in the hole was shocked about the Stevie Campbell thing as as far as he understands he is a full time member of staff and therefore does not have a temperary contract. exact words were 'That's a load of Pish'

1. Our wish

We all want Dundee United to be better than Celtic

2. Reality

Is we never will be

Ps: I stood outside Celtic Park last night for longer than usual and it dawned on me that they are quite simply a massive Club compared to the one i support. This will obviously be no shock to most Football fans but sometimes it's something that we need to remember on occasion especially when we have to play them 4 times in a row. The Bookie doesn't offer 8/1 for United after Celtic had not beaten United in the 2 previous matches between them for no reason. The easy option in life would be to join the biggest and best Club, Company or Gang in the World but would it give you the same satisfaction? No! Thats why i dont go home and beat my wife after the random defeat, I choose instead to go home after the random win and give her the time of her life. That's love and that's the life of a Dundee United Supporter
I think

That is almost word for word what i posted SO in the other thread. we must have been standing there too long last night!!

The reality kinda struck me last night of where we are in real terms. If we were to take Celtic out of the equation then we would have won the League Cup and be sitting in the Semi of the Scottish with three other beatable teams.

That was my first trip to Celtic Park for a Celtic game last night for a long time and it really hit home how small a club we actually are. They are a massive, massive club with resources which would exceed the whole of the other 11 teams in the league put together. Case in point was their half time draw was for £12k last night, Utd’s 50-50 is usually about £250

Their Hospitality areas would most likely be the same size as the whole of the Eddie Thompson stand.

Should we have a chance of beating them? A one off game yes, over 4 games in a row, no, that is the reality of it unfortunately.

Would I change my club for that and all they stand for, absolutely fucking not. We are hurting today but we will always be UTD!

Last night was the worst we have played in the three games. I now remember why i don't usually go there as we roll over and let them tickle our tummies. Less said about the game the better TBH but the boys on the park look jaded and a shadow of the team in the first part of the season. As TEK has said anyone going on Saturday deserves a medal as i can only see us getting a complete pumping of about 5 -7 goals against.

Positives from last night - Fans were in really good voice and supported the team throughout and the chips and curry sauce was quite nice. oh and that fat gimp in there end was good for poking fun at!

He looked good on Saturday for me, bullied the two centre backs and allowed us to get some good posession in the final third. So if he is out then that i a blow as i wouldn't be too unhappy if Cifci came in for Dow and the two of them were on from the start.

Given up trying to guess the team but I am going to support all players who take the field for us!!!! Hopefully they can all stay on unless they are subbed. Mind they have yet to score against us in the twa games when we have had the same amount of players on the pitch.

This will be my first trip to tink park for a game against Celtic for years so fingers crossed I can bring some good luck.

Kept the faith 2-0 Utd

The players and management should be ashamed that was woeful in the extreme. Players going backwards Erskine is back to last season form, Dow shocking, Dillon shocking, Spittal hiding for large parts, Telfer never got a touch, Dicker looking a shadow at the moment, the only bright point was Mario coming on.

Too angry, Jackie need to get a fucking grip of things urgently as we were outfought in every department again today.

The problem is that Rado and the back 4 really don't communicate.

I've noticed in games in the past 2 years that you never see Rado shout or try and guide defenders positionally. When he first came to the club and we were keeping clean sheets he was ott when it came to communicating.Mind he was nearly fighting with Flood+Gunning in consecutive weeks?

He has to get a bit of that snarl back, but controlled agression. Not pointing the finger or screaming at people in an accusatory manner...more encouragement and trying to gee people up.

He and the back 4 are still just too nice at times.

Like yesterday for example.Although Dilllon gets in his way Rado shouldn't be so fazed by his prescence as to completely go to sleep the way he does.

Big Sieb would have wiped Dillon oot.

That is totally correct TEK, i mind when he fist came in he was going mental when we lost a goal but now he couldn't give a shit! just picks the ball out the net and on we go!

He is too quick to come for balls which he will never get to and ends up flapping about like a duck with a lemon up it's arse!

Unfortunatly i think we are stuck with his till the end of the season and just need to hope that in the cup games be stays on his line and lets the defence defend.
