If your hearts are not in OUR club please both of you just fuck off now for the good of OUR club.
Thompson... You are a proven liar and clearly not interested in being here so do the right thing and sell your shares to people with the club at heart unlike you.
Jackie... If you continue to field a team with no creativity width or attacking option with donkeys where do you actually see us finishing?
you two are ripping the heart out of OUR club. We as fans will be here alot longer than either of you we are the ones who suffer not you two.
A season with record season ticket sales and its another unsuccesfull one due to the both of you. Fans shat on.
What will you do with a big drop in sales next season?

Bowers fans shat on? We still have a decent chance of finishing top 4 something our neighbours havent managed for over 50 years.Things could be a hell of a lot worse. Thompson made a decision to sell which i think he probably realises is now the wrong one, however to say that he does not care about the club is clearly wrong, if he did not care we would have went into administration in 2008.

24 hours before the 2 went he said no player would be sold as he wanted trophys..what happened?

Do you think we would have beaten Celtic with Armstrong and Gms in the team? Think back to August a 6-1 defeat to Celtic with both the aforementioned in the team. Supporters are angry ,looking for targets to vent their anger. The facts are Celtic are significantly superior to United and have been for 20 years.

Agree with beharder tbh...hurting like fuck but prepared to rebuild and go again....

Beharder, I applaude your positivity. My mood is somewhere between yours and Bowers, always tried to be encouraging but since the final transfer window things have really ground me down bit by bit, game by game.
I'm sure after the Final Celtic game things will get better. Pretty please....

Round and Round in circles after a run of bad results
1. Our wish
We all want Dundee United to be better than Celtic
2. Reality
Is we never will be
Ps: I stood outside Celtic Park last night for longer than usual and it dawned on me that they are quite simply a massive Club compared to the one i support. This will obviously be no shock to most Football fans but sometimes it's something that we need to remember on occasion especially when we have to play them 4 times in a row. The Bookie doesn't offer 8/1 for United after Celtic had not beaten United in the 2 previous matches between them for no reason. The easy option in life would be to join the biggest and best Club, Company or Gang in the World but would it give you the same satisfaction? No! Thats why i dont go home and beat my wife after the random defeat, I choose instead to go home after the random win and give her the time of her life. That's love and that's the life of a Dundee United Supporter

thats the thing we all want the best for our club 100%
its not in jackie or thompsons hearts compared to ours.
What has happened to the squad? even with gms and armstrong earlier in the season we never played like we had seen many a time in the season previous.
take the motherwell cup game at tannadice motherwell away game and inverness cup game last season for example... proberly the best free flowing attacking football many have seen dundee united play...
what has happened to that? what has happened to the tactics?
is there no faith in connolly? Is there no faith in telfer?
whats going to happen next season or the season after when we have no sellable assets?

There is too much positivity here, where's all the JMAC and ST out threads (forum rules dictate they have to be in full block capitals to really show your anger tho!) This is why this is my forum of choice, full of people with passion, rationale and a sense of humour. You guys complete me

Disclaimer: Forums would be boring if everyone shared the same opinion and I appriciate everyones views and posts on here, sometimes its nice to hear some positivity when there is so little to take from last night.
Disclaimer 2: I must confess, I too tickle my wife's pickle after a random win

Funny we must all be slightly telepathic on here because i was slightly optimistic of a result beforehand last night. But as i too was hanging about outside their ground you see their smart walkway (that we as tax payers funded for the Commonwealth games ),you see their smart lights and club crest all lit up,you look up and see people through the huge glass windows enjoying their hospo (which looks light years ahead of ours, looks like they're in an actual restaurant and not just in a fitba ground),and you just take in the enormity of their stadium ...and yeah our club feels very small in comparison. My optimism slowly started to evoporate.
That is why i am so bitterly dissapointed in where the club has ended up this season.
After we beat them in December and particualry after we hammered Dundee 6-2 there was a wee feeling in the air of 'hey we're getting close to doing something here and challenging for things'.
But for me even if we are a small club we need the people that are running the club to adopt a BIG club mentality.By that i mean in certain circumstances you forego the lure of cash to mount a rare challenge to the establishment. You don't bow to pressure and you stick to your guns.
Selling Robertson,Gauld,Armstrong and GMS in the space of 6 months has all but crippled the team that were the toast of Scottish football this time last year.
The next batch of kids coming through don't seem to be the same level in class as the likes of Allan,Armstrong,Russell etc and Jackie's replacements have been hit and miss (mostly miss imo).
With the rumours of Stevie Campbell being let go,Jackie's reputation taking a weekly hit and the Oz stuff still hanging in the background it really does feel like there is a sea change coming in the Summer.
Small club or not every club needs strong leadership and a clear vision and there seems, for me anyway,so much uncertainty surrounding the club just now.
The only constant is the fans and we will still all be here win, lose or draw till we all peg it.
But do questions need asked (and answered) of certain individuals at the moment? Most definitely.

You are right TEK, we are all sick of losing players and there is no question we are now sitting with only one or two bright lights in the squad but we should be looking to finish 2nd or 3rd each year and to have at least one good cup run. In my opinion we are now left with a squad who are maybe 18mths away from being ready to go again so the summer is gonna be huge for the shape of our team next season.
My Mole in the hole was shocked about the Stevie Campbell thing as as far as he understands he is a full time member of staff and therefore does not have a temperary contract. exact words were 'That's a load of Pish'

Defo not pish,unfortunately.
His contract is up and from what i was told he only wants to be at Utd,so isn't angling for a move elsewhere or owt.

I will go we you boys then, my boy is not coaching staff so maybe different for some.
Need to keep him, most valuable person at the club given young boys want to work with him and we seem to produce some good young players

If it has to come down to a choice between Stevie Campbell and Jackie McNamara then Stevie wins everytime.
TEK sums my feelings up perfectly btw. Seek.
