Madden a total clown. We are giving the ball away far too easily at times and in some dangerous areas. Erskine should've buried that chance earlier btw.

Great stuff. Will be a big move forward for the club.

I've been a teacher for nearly 13 years. You want to see/hear some of the stuff parents come away with to teachers. The lack of support from parents towards what you are trying to do to help pupils achieve/improve is staggering as is the lengths some of them will go to defend their wee angels.
I'm generalising granted, but the point is politically, schools are an easier taget than hospitals. The Council Tax freeze is starting to really bite on top of the wider Westminister cuts on budgets.
I was actually surprised the Smith Commission never recomended devolving Council Tax Benefit which could have enabled a fairer system of local taxation to be brought in in Scotland (Local Income Tax or a Land Value Tax for example).

SSP probably. Whilst I voted Yes in the referendum, I have real issues with how the SNP have run certain things in Scotland, specifically the farcical (done at warp speed) implementation of Curriculum for Excellence in schools and the introduction of Police Scotland leading to policing effectively being a Strathclyde policy one-size-fits-all only dictatorship led by an absolute bastard of a man in Stephen House. The anti-alcohol agenda is also starting to grate on me as failing to tackle the real problems with drink, drinkers and drunk drivers in Scotland and instead hitting the more responsible majority. The NHS has also limped along (no pun intended) under their stewardship with little or no creative thinking, instead a 'throw money at the problem and hope it gets better' (which is not really making any difference) policy, to the detriment of other services such as education that are really suffering with cuts while NHS budgets are largely maintained for political purposes. The fact is the public hate schools and teachers so don't bother about cuts to us, whilst the NHS is the sacred cow. The sooner the SNP are not the only show in town in Scotland, the better because the SNP might say a lot of the right things, but what they are doing in practice is often quite a bitter pill to swallow. Never voting Labour again mind you.

Is it just me or is Scottish football getting even better post Armageddon? I haven't seen a team shut up shop at Tannadice since Billy Reid Accies' and the odd Highland team, and every team now seems to want to play open football.
No sure about that Bugs, did you not see the St Johnstone game earlier this season, they were unbelievably negative. JMAC even joked that Paton/Morris deliberately made a gaffe to draw them out leading to our first goal.

As long as he doesn't name a daft team like the Motherwell league game with Paton at right back or something similarly ludicrous. Bilate seemingly a week away from being ready for a game. Personally I'd play him in the U20's first to see how he feels before risking him in the 1st team and having him breaking down again after 20 mins. Possibly give him a few games in the u20's to build up his match fitness and hopefully get a few goals too for confidence.
Dundee United » charlie telfer » 04/12/2014 6:59 pm |
Really fishy. Connolly started more games and scored more goals yet Telfer (who did well but was crap on Saturday) gets the award.

Hearn might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I reckon he'd be a breath of fresh air if he was in charge of the SPFL. He is spot on what he is saying.

Edit: Can I just say that I hope Kimarnock's players are fucking squirming in their seats tonight. Fucking minter club and players.

I don't really watch a lot of TV, but have watched this with the wife from the start. Jesus fucking Christ, cracking, gripping tv. My money is on the guy who is the Procurator played by Jean Reno, he's blocked them at every turn and has the power to suppress evidence.

Fucking hell. This is a tough one. Victor was something else, but Hunty really done the biz for us and was a real personality too. Hunty.

The bit when he dummied the ball, taking out two of their players in the process led to our second goal.
He must be a cert to play against Celtic in a few weeks. Hopefully he can give Broony a taste of his own medicine. He'll probably get sent off mind you.

Agreed.
About time we fucking won on the telly on a Friday night. Since I got rid of Sky Sports and replaced it with BT we've lost both times we've been on! I should've stuck to watching online, I don't think we lost a single game when we were on BT last season.
