Hope we go back to 3 at the back. Pack the midfield with sibbald, doc, sev. I’d have Babunski playing off dalby and dropping back to midfield at times.
Play ugly. It is what has served so well this year.
Won’t be easy. Hibs are decent.
Agree about 3 at the back but does two of them need to be Gallagher and Graham to release Svelj into midfield?
Is Graham fit?
I’ll be surprised if Graham plays again this season

If he could bring in the calibre of those players then yes please.
I might be wrong but I think Michael Cairney is still involved until after the summer is out the way.

He comes across well in that interview. Can never fault his efforts and sounds like he’s been playing through the pain barrier for a number of weeks.

Owen Stirton has signed a 2 year contract so it will take a very good offer for us to sell, he looks like he will be involved in the first team next season. Miller Thomson, Kai Fotheringham and Ross Graham all played a significant part on our promotion last season.
Clear-Harding and Ross Graham look the future at the back for us, it’s going to be really difficult for Dewar and Constable to break in.
Ultimately there’s not much you can do when young players heads have been turned with the riches of the clubs down south. The fees they can afford is pennies to them for young talent.
Our academy is doing just fine.

Aberdeen almost certainly getting the Shed on last game of the season.
Hopefully United hold back the Fair play and Jerry Kerr for our fans to buy a block at a time.
Assuming the game still has importance.
Have you heard something?
For me,it made a massive difference when we played them in December. Unless it's to reduce the chance of their supporters throwing stuff at the dugouts.
Aberdeen fans won’t be in the Jerry Kerr stand again whilst Goodwin is our manager.

Dundee United » Split Fixtures » 14/4/2025 11:09 am |
Expected at some point today or tomorrow.
Looking at the fixtures only us and Rangers are due three home games so one team is going to get 20 home games. Celtic's games have the least riding on it so they should get 20 but it is the SPFL after all.
If Celtic don't get 20 home games going to be a strong possibility that we get them first game after the split as they won't be sent to Ibrox to clinch the league. Unlikely that Aberdeen will be given three of last four away so can't see them being sent to Pittodrie.

Does 4th do the same so long as you get through one qualifying round? Hibs look like they are going to be strong favourites for 3rd tbhNo we would have to win two. 4th gets you Europa League qualifying round at
So,
3rd - Europa Group Stage + Conference if you are eliminated?
4th - Two Europa Qualifiers + Conference qualifier if you fail to reach Europa Group Stage?
5th - Conference League Qualifier (One or Two to reach Group Stage)?
3rd gets you Europa League play-off drop down to Conference league group stage if eliminated
4th gets you second round Europa League qualifier drop down to Conference league qualifiers
5th gets you second round conference league qualifiers
So guaranteed more than two European games if we finish 4th or higher as long as Celtic win the cup.

He's had his hand in as many failures as success's.
The club don't seem very adept at hiring people who genuinely want to be at the club long-term, and truly want to build something.
When you bring in as many players as we did last summer not every one will be a success. We are going to have one hell of a rebuilding job this summer when the loanee players return to their clubs. I also wouldn't be surprised for us to get good offers for Ferry and Sevelj.

I'm sure I read a report recently, can't remember the player involved but sure he was in our division, where the player returned from injury two months ahead of schedule. What the fuck is it with our backroom team when players always return much later than expected? I don't enjoy knocking the club but this is an area we could be much much better in.
Ryan Strain returned two months ahead of schedule could be him? Think Goodwin is just being cautious as we have loads of games in December.

Really nervous for this. From about 2007-2015 i was used as a 14-22 year old of making quarter finals with ease and a few Hampden trips. We got relegated in 2016 and it’s never been the same.
Buzzing for the trip down and half day but my stomachs going crazy with nerves.
I’m not saying Jim will be sacked or anything but if we win this he’s safe with the fans until at least Christmas, also a few more league wins, clubs down south will start to watch Jim again…
Agree with this we have a tough run of games for the next six weeks or so so it wouldn't take a lot for fans to turn on him. What I will say is we look very organised and don't give much away so we should still be able to keep the points ticking over.

A game to look forward to for sure with Rangers poor start to the season Ross County game aside. Can see Sevelj for Holt being the only change for this one. Hopefully Trapanovski is back on his game as I think he can really exploit Tavernier who the Rangers fans have really turned on the last few months.
