Kilmarnock away in 11 days and the team is no stronger from middle to front currently. A pathetic transfer window so far.
Need 3 or 4 in this week. And all need to be 1st team ready.
Time for the Sporting Director to do his job and back his Manager.
An odd definition of "pathetic".
An international striker
An international midfielder
Australian keeper of the year
A solid midfield pro
And more to come.
I actually congratulate the club on its business so far.
Come on mate. How long will this charade last? I agree with you, the players we've brought in have been of a good standard. But the season starts next Saturday and we are 16 days away from our Euro tie and we're still (by the managers own words) at least 4 outfield players short of where we need to be.
I'll agree that Tek's use of 'pathetic' might be a bit strong in my opinion. I don't know what I'd go for at this stage but it is somewhere in between pathetic and something to be 'congratulated' on, thats for sure. Strong but slow might be the best way to describe it for me. If this week goes by without at least one more outfield player signed then I'll really start to question wtf is going on.

I don't recall anything about us receiving compensation from Honved? Not sure where that's coming from. As far as I knew we released him and then he signed on with them.

That was my understanding too, when Courts resigned.
But a few days later our Sporting Director was quoted in the article below as saying Honved paid for his services.

That's the first time I've seen that article mate, cheers

I'm not losing any sleep over the squad's shortcomings. What's the point? I'm just hoping that any new arrivals we bring in now have done a good preseason elsewhere, so they have the ability to contribute and have an impact in our opening games.
At this point, a couple of Levitt-level loan players might be our best option?

On the new keeper, it's a big transition from Australia to Scotland, in terms of footballing style, expectation levels, climate and culture. I hope he does well.
After Sunderland game, its obvious we need a better keeper, that's all I will say

When Benji first played for United it was obvious we needed a better keeper than him, but he turned out alright in the end.

Guys, settle down.
We just need to sort out a few more corporate partnerships, then we’ll get to adding the quality that we desperately need.
It’s fine, not like we have any really really important games coming up.

In the meantime, we’ll let a few names get out there to keep the plebs happy.
Kick a few tyres, and miss out on available talent.
We signed Levitt, and it’s great. But it doesn’t mean we stop.

I doubt they have stopped. But we need to see some movement soon.

I totally understand we have until the end of August.
But I also know there was 3/4 areas we badly needed quality in.
And a big game at the start of August.

The inactivity of this wet fart of a transfer window continues.
Anyone heard any rumours, anything?

Hearts have signed another player.
Online!
Scott burns saying McGrath isn’t currently available and other clubs also interested.
Good spin by United to keep fans happy for a week or 2. What now?

Ceres Arabs just tweeted that we are interested in Glen Middleton.

Think we might have a slow, frustrating start to the season until we get reinforcements in..., if we get them in that is.!

My real fear is that some believe that last season we finished fourth and are in no danger this season.
The league will most definitely be stronger this season and we have no safety net due them not being in the league.
We were best of the rest outside the top three but not a million mile away from St Johnstone.
So far the only dept we have really strengthened is in the dug out.
2 new signings so far, come on.

Yeah you’d think anyone with a realistic chance of starting v Killie will need to be in the door by this weekend tbh

Part of the St.Johnstone team last season who were the Premiership's lowest scorers (by miles) with just 24 goals scored. Even Dundee scored 34 goals.
No thanks.
So much for 'quality over quantity'.

The issue here is that we have a sporting director who believes his own hype and, contrary to our hopes that Ross would have driven a hard bargain, he is not being given, even close to, the free rein that he needs. Less than 2 weeks to the start of the season and the old gaps remain together with the new ones (e.g. combative midfielder). We’ve got a nice new badge though (albeit one that’s not on our home shirt).

Agree completely with the 2nd half of this Finn but I feel the first half you are just guessing.
