Well how can we possibly know? So no I dont think so. He's 17. A manager doesnt just decide they 'dont rate' a player when they are 17 years old. Especially one as talented as Mochrie.

has he ever played him thou ?

He is 17 and was sent on loan.

He didnt even play him in the betfred thou

Re: Motherwell v Dundee Utd 3/2/21

Fotheringham gets game time - same position as Mochrie, same age

Mochrie was the best of youth.

Mellon doesn't rate him.

Yes 3 times he's played him in front of Mochrie I believe, despite Mochrie being a regular for Scotland in the same age group. Bizarre

Fotheringham has played 45 mins of league football. Calm down. They are not the same position. Kai is a winger. Mochrie a 10

Re: Motherwell v Dundee Utd 3/2/21

So game time then? I'm perfectly calm. 100% he doesn't rate Mochrie. and FWIW you're wrong. They are both a 10.

45 mins more then he's given mochrie. Mochrie played wide all season for nontrose

Re: Motherwell v Dundee Utd 3/2/21

You can both keep saying it all you want but we are just splitting hairs here at the end of the day. Time will tell. But saying he 100% 'doesnt rate' Mochrie is a load of shite. Maybe he thinks he isnt quite ready yet. Have you seen anything to suggest otherwise?

I'll say again he is 17. Kai by all accounts impressed massively pre-season and has been right under the managers eyes all season while Mochrie has been training with the loan bubble group until now. So forgive me for not seeing Kai's 45 minutes against St Mirren as confirmation that MM doesnt rate Mochrie.

Player possibly missing due to personal circumstances.

Wonder what’s going on there?

Re: Motherwell v Dundee Utd 3/2/21

player tested positive.
re-tested (NHS) negative.

May be what Mellon was referring to, buying time...

doesn’t fill me with confidence re the private testing we use.

That happened to st mirren early on in the season if I remember right? Had something like 5 positives, re-tested and then came back negative. Mental.

PCR tests are often fickle. I wouldn't worry too much about it, the same thing happened a number of times in the NFL this season and they had similar testing routines.

Re: Motherwell v Dundee Utd 3/2/21

It's all just part of the overall process and regime, hence the assurance of the NHS test. Fingers crossed for a negative and therefore no track and trace interventions.

That said, i'd almost be all for shaking things up, having a backs to the walls performance with a few guys coming in to stake a claim and seeing where that gets us. if it meant more round pegs in round holes, it could serve us well.

I've officially lost count of the amount of times I've referenced pegs and holes now. It's so simple and effective. Has any tweak/alteration/player out of position ever actually worked for us in the last 5 years?

Fotheringham must be injured. No way he'd have Mochrie ahead of him on the bench
