1-1 draw at best imo

Would you have him over McKinnon?
For me yes, proven manager in the top flight and given time to get his team playing the way he wants he has shown it works. Now I agree it's maybe not gonna be Barcelona style however this ICT battled for everything and got results. Something we are crying out for.
Maybe McKinnon can turn us round but he needs to get this summer 100% spot on imo
Dundee United » The disharmony between certain factions on here » 28/4/2017 12:03 pm |
I think it's a great idea, bit like the old firm thread on P&B where people can go to vent and have a ding dong, If like me you're no into that then you can come here to discuss things in a less vocal way. This way it keep everyone happy and maybe posters will stay longer if they are not having to read things that they find uncomfortable.

The letdown of McKinnon's signing, we were all sold a pup on this one, lad with good experience at a high level and would come into the Championship and rip it up.
Maybe you can argue he was played out of position but he was useless anywhere else on the field, never a wide man and never ever a centre forward. nae pace, canny hold a ball up and went down far too easily.
Bye Nick you won't be missed ya pudden
Lesser Teams » Who is the greatest footballer of all-time? » 24/4/2017 1:58 pm |
i put Messi, however you can make a case for a few of the listed. Loved MVB and Maradonna back in my youth and Ronaldo is an incredible player.
However Messi does it for me in terms of his ability to glide past players with so much ease.
I feel privileged to have seen him play at Tannadice, i honestly thought the ball was stuck to his foot that night.
Also think in this day and age to have that much ability given how fit and quick all players are now complaired to 30yrs ago, he continues to make most others look ordinary.

Go yersel Teresa.
Now before ye think I've lost the plot there is reason behind my delight.
I usually do polling clerk for elections at £150 a pop. The local election next month and now this effectively sees me and the young lad get oor season tickets for fuck all. All thanks to the Tax payers. Taking Thompson is (or should be) a U.K. Taxpayer then he's actually paying for my two tickets.

The fear has gotten to them, Hartley away surely Jockey or Duffy could come to the rescue of their beloved. alas it maybe too little too late.

It's such a sorry state when you are dreading meeting Morton, Falkirk or The Fun. FFS what has happened to our club, makes ya want tae greet 😪
Dundee United » Play offs » 16/4/2017 8:02 am |
We canny string twa passes together let alone twa results. No chance we are going up with the club as it is. Dundee or Hamilton would pump us even if we did somehow get to the final. Nae heart + nae desire = nae chance

Agree with this! We must be 5 or 6 groups which then makes it nee on impossible to get agreements.
How this is overcome I have no idea however.
Lesser Teams » The fear » 04/4/2017 11:02 pm |
Now I'll firstly point out I have little to no anticipation that this will happen with the current shower of shite which is being served up.
However the Dee must be starting to get the cold sweats about a possible meeting in the play-offs. They seem in free fall and others at the bottom are starting to ouck up points.
Could you imagine the scenes of 12mths after our darkest day at Dens we could go back and relegate them.
If there is a god 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Dundee United » Development League 2016/2017 Season » 03/4/2017 9:08 pm |
You'd think the fringe players would be bursting to take a game to put the manager to make changes given the result on Saturday. Too many just happy to be picking up a wage and dicking about St. Andrews four days a week. Pampered pussies
Dundee United » Do you still enjoy football? » 02/4/2017 9:01 am |
Totally agree, season ticket holder and will be again next season, only as I canny give it up and really want my 6yr old to be trapped in the same pain as we are for the rest o his life. (Surely social services can intervene)
Tannadice is so quite most weeks as the fitba's shite and we've all pretty much accepted it. I'm past getting outraged by them now, just sit there and shake my head most weeks. Canny see an end to us being shite and honestly think we'll be in this league for the next 3-4 years if things stay the same off the pitch as well as on it.

Class, hope they are hurting like hell tonight. Need ICT etc to grab the bull by the horns after that result and put real pressure on them with a couple of wins. GIRFUY

Is he a complete cock - yes he is.
However he is a nasty cunt and inbeds that in his players mentality. We're too soft, thon referee on Tuesday got an easy ride from our players, if that was Hibs they would be been hounding him for some of the decisions. whereas we just accept it which leads to us being bullied by more physically aggressive teams. There's a place for fancy football but the Championship is not one of them.
Still he is a bellend 🔔 🔚
Dundee United » Who is Utd's best ever Goalkeeper? » 24/3/2017 12:38 pm |
Just missed Hamish too, Thompson was my best lanky leavers and those tangerine socks over the black joggers with the green Belhaven top is still etched in my mind.
Shout out to Oohhh Aaahhh Alan Main and The Polish Nutter for fan favourites. Guido for that save in the 94 final
Dundee United » How many tickets have we sold for Saturday??? » 20/3/2017 11:07 pm |
I'm going and taking the wee man, at the time I thought it was an opportunity to let him maybe see us winning a cup. He's 6 so diddy or not, it's the type of thing he'll remember forever.
Now I'm dreading it, we put in another abject performance and it's gonna turn nasty real quickly and I'm not really wanting him to see boys (understandingly) losing their shit.
Please you motherfuckers don't let me down again my heart already broken and can't take much more!
