Potato crisps

This comes under the General Pish sub-heading:  What is your favourite variety of crisps? Mine has to be Brannigan's Roast Beef and Mustard. Not too easy to find these days, they are sometimes available at Poundland in bags of 5 packets for £1. But I order them in bags of 18 x 40 gram packets from Amazon at £12.24 - 68p per packet. While that may seem expensive it saves me trailing into town on 2 buses, and standing in long check-out queues. And sometimes it can be a wasted journey with the product out of stock. Next-day delivery to the door makes it worthwhile to me.

The mustard flavour is fierce! The after-taste burns in the mouth for ages. Must admit, though, I have yet to detect any roast beef flavour.....

Re: Potato crisps

Leedsy,  Brannigan's Roast Beef and Mustard are, like many beefy flavoured crisps, 'Suitable for Vegetarians'!
Presently, I favour McCoy's Thick Cut Salt and Cider Vinegar. Some vinegar crisps are too vinegary, but these are perfect.

Re: Potato crisps

I'm a McCoy's man too but mine are either the beef or the Lightly Salted. Currently the later. I'm a crisp man so any on the go are usually snapped up In my house!

Re: Potato crisps

When I was a young lad many years ago (I'll be 80 the morn if I make it through the night) I can't recall different flavoured crisps, although there might have been, just that I never saw any that I can remember. Just Smith's Crisps, plain and with a wee bit salt in a twist of blue paper. Packets sold out of what resembled biscuit tins.
