Stephen Thompson looks at this in disgust. Many do that when we can sell the prized assests?

Missed the Dalby pen shout. Grabbing a can.

Their pen, angle behind the goal, Holt deffo catches him, just. Enough for anyone to claim and a ref to give. But the fact VAR didn’t overturn or at least send the ref to the screen is fucking criminal.

Highly doubt Sportsound will spend a whole week telling everyone it was wrong to give, cause we’re not a west coast team and they are.

After last couple games thought we were heading for a loss at half time.
Both keepers were great and keeping it a dull 0-0.
Thank fuck for Moult!

When does the owner of StM sign the club over to Jim Goodwin for keeps?

If Moults fit does he take a spot on the bench?

Think we should start 3 at the back, but reckon we’ll go 4 to see how it goes in game firsts

Now I’m wanting goals from everyone but I’m old enough to know it’s not happening. Found a stat out regarding VDS.

13 times he’s came aff the bench with 12 goals scored.
18 goals in total with him on the park (inc starts).

He may not be scoring but he’s offering up more than that to help the team get the goals elsewhere.

They’re not world beaters.
They might individually have a shite game.

But by fuck this current crop will run through brick walls, not just for Goodwin, not just for us, but for each other.
That’s been missing for more than a decade with this club and you’ve got guys who looks average looking for a European adventure in 6 months.

What a set of lads!

In the Scottish Premiership on (29/12) -

Tony Watt was a 2nd half substitute for Motherwell in their highly controversial 2-2 draw at home to Rangers. Watt himself having a goal chopped off after consultation with VAR. The Steelmen threw away a 2 goal lead after half an hour but remain in 6th.

In Scottish League One on the (28/12) -

Ruairidh Adams and Sam Harding both started and played the full 90 for Kelty Hearts away to Dumbarton, but it was an afternoon to forget for the Fife men as they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to drop down to 3rd in the table.

Lewis O'Donnell started for QotS in their 1-1 draw at home to Annan Athletic, providing the assist for their goal, but was subbed off after an hour in another disappointing result for the men from Dumfries who languish in 7th.

In the Scottish Lowland League on (28/12) -

Bryan Mwangi played the full match for Broxburn Athletic who won 2-1 at home to Tranent. A big result that keeps the West Lothian side comfortably in 6th place.

Adam Carnwath was a 65th minute substitute for Cumbernauld Colts and despite another improved display they again fell to another defeat, this time a 2-1 home loss to high-flying Caledonian Braves. Sean Borland was not in the Colts squad (presumably injured).

The league 1 three, I’ve high hopes for. I don’t think Newman, sadly, has a future with us. But of the 3 that played yesterday I’ve the highest of hopes for Adams. Would love an academy keeper to cement a first team place cause he’s good. Be the first since Gallacher.

This could be a season turner for us either way of result. Beat the cunts and we’re 3 behind the greatest Aberdeen side since Fergie and their spiral continues.

Let’s be honest, this game is bigger than Dundee to Goodwin. Putting one over on them while playing shite and a real chance to push ahead to finish ahead of them with be his redemption.

See your possession football, passing stats, xG and all that other fucking nonsense. Get that in the bin.
Repetitive pish that gets us nowhere as we’re not good enough (never have been since that fandom came about) to fanny about with that and still win.

Couldn’t care if he’s treating this as a pre season, it’s one of 2 domestic trophies we should be aiming to win, with a chance of actually doing something in. Should be treating it with a bit of oomf, give us something to have going for us. Instead of sucking the life out of us from the first fucking game!

Football is an easy game if you play to your strengths, and that for us, is playing it forward.

Reckon we need back up down the left, unless he’s willing to give Duffy a run but deffo a winger needed. An actual good alternative to Sibbald/Docherty, as stated elsewhere Grimshaw which means a RB.
A RB for cover.

Goodwin needs an alternate system and one that puts a striker on with Moult but if not a competent sub for him, but who are you getting in January that’s willing to move from one bench to be getting 15/20 mins a game and play v Raith away.
