It has been pretty bad, but specifically on St Mirren they've only actually gained 5 points on us since February. When the league is so tight that can happen very quickly and mid table teams can shoot up and down the league at a rate of knots.
There is no getting away from the fact that the January transfer window wasn't a success though. For all the talk of fatigue, there are a host of fresh players signed this season who rarely play or have been put out on loan - you don't need me to name them. Because they aren't good enough, the same players get wheeled out every week.
It's really been a disappointing last few months, bar the three wins in quick succession.
They've gained 7 points on us in the last three games, it's pointless talking about February. It comes down to them having the fucking minerals and us......not so much.Mind ae ADS replying to a post saying: ----- When have we ever had a good transfer window ? ------
- Can't say more.
And it’s even more pathetic that we aren’t able to call on any academy players to step up.

Got to be the best team available but I’m not sure what that is anymore as a draw there would set us up for Saturday.

I don't like to see people blame Mr Ogren. He hugely backed previous managers (especially the imposter) and has had little reward. Think how much he spent on guys like Fletcher, Behich and Levitt.
He's backed Jim well this season, maybe not to previous levels, but it's been a good budget.
Cmon now it’s an important time with a lot at stake and we are all a bit anxious to get a the victory we need to secure Europe so no need to try and wind people up.

Dundee United » Out of contract players in Summer - Who would you keep? » 27/4/2025 11:35 am |
Think I counted 4players on the park yesterday who have contracts for next season so really hoping Utd have big plans as I don’t want us to go down the Dundee route with loan players as it didn’t work out well for them in their 2nd season back in the Premier League.

Watched the game and can’t say I saw anything from Miller that would suggest he could play a part for us next season.

SFA official Alan Muir has been told his VAR career is over after the former referee blundered by disallowing a Celtic goal against Hibernian in February that should not have been overturned. (Scottish Sun)
Nothing about the cheating against UTD!

1-1 Big Sam

“The minutes he’s actually managed is something you’d expect a Cleall-Harding or Owen Stirton to have for their development. Not the phucking club captain.”
I agree with this and if he misses any more games this season with Injury then it’s a definite no from me
Dundee United » Top 6 run in » 30/3/2025 7:45 am |
Am I right in thinking 3 points from the 3 games we have left would secure top six if we have the better goal difference?

Jim had an article in the Courier midweek about the Babunski situation.
Dundee United » Dundee United vs Dundee - Sunday 16th March (3PM) » 18/3/2025 12:29 pm |
Luca fouled before their first goal and according to former referee Keith Hackett ( BBC Scotland football gossip ) it was never a penalty for there 4 goal so it was a really a 2-2 draw and not an absolute battering for Utd.

Tek is right they looked like they wanted it more and considering we had a our choice from a full squad and still produced that performance it is really worrying.
What a shit show from the defence and midfield and got what we deserved
Nothing
I don’t include Sevelj in that shit show.

Any signs of Graham, Gallagher, Moult or Docherty?
Didn’t see Graham or Docherty but Gallagher and Moult both there could have just missed seeing the first 2 also.

Gallagher, Ferry, Moult and Docherty all described as 50/50.
Knowing the type of cautious Manager, Goodwin is, i doubt he'll risk them, particularly as we have another two week break thereafter.
Absolute joke that Docherty and Moult are still out, particularly the latter. Always a 'knock' that seems to keep him out for a month at a time. Gave up on Docherty a few weeks back.
Goodwin keeping his cards close to his chest regarding Ross Graham injury and/or illness to others.
Saying we have 'great options' regardless of injury. Sorry, but i'll have to disagree there, Jim.
It's so dispiriting, every week you are just waiting on the news that another key player is unavailable after picking up a knock at training.
What are they doing in St Andrews or what are they not doing, there can't be anther team that has to contend with the amount of injuries.
Jim said that ' it's been a long season and the guys are feeling the effects'.
League games- Docherty 14 games, Moult 13 games, Gallagher 27 games Ferry 26 games, Graham 13 games.
We got pumped out of both cups early so we have hardy had a gruelling run.
This is kind of what I was alluding to when questioning why certain players could be tired after playing 60 minutes of football!

I still can’t understand how professional sports players can be gubbed after playing 3 games in a week and can only manage 60 minutes.
What am I missing here ?

Dundee United » United vs Hibs - Wednesday 26th February » 27/2/2025 8:35 am |
These last 2 games the standard of refereeing decisions has been shocking but thought again last night Jim brought on like for like substitutions apart from replacing Will and we got away with it on Saturday but not last night. We were cheated out of the 3 points but let’s go and try and win the games.
Dundee United » United vs Hibs - Wednesday 26th February » 26/2/2025 4:34 pm |
I actually think a draw is a good result and fancy our chances of getting a victory away to the sheep more than I do a home win tonight.
