Completely disagree with original post. There is no-one better than Liam Fox that would realistically come to United.
We chopped and changed managers in the relegation season, it didn't work, and the team went down.
Let's stick with Liam.
you must be seeing something that we all don't as he's hardly mr fucking motivator is he

Mmmm, I think I did. I'd agree that it would be great if we didn't need them, but if you look at most teams in the prem., even Rangers and Celtic then they are using loan players from EPL teams. My point is would Mackay jeopardise that route? Granted it hasn't been a great success before, but I would expect that you can get a better quality player as we are now in a better league.
we've went the past year or so with very few if any loan signings, i hope we dont go back down that route look at the year we went doon

I'm actually surprised that he has support on here, as I can't see his record being great, disregarding his time at Cardiff which was backed, for the most part, by Vincent Tan's millions, until Mackay overspent in summer 2013, which set off alarm bells for Tan. Subsequently Iain Moody, and then Mackay, were sacked, with the text messages revealed as being a reason.
Look into it all, and examine Mackay's record at other clubs.
a wee bit unfair min, he was in leagues far superior to oors

Players and management need to be taking a long hard look at themselves after that. What an utter embarrassment. Performance wise was much worse than Alloa and almost as bad as 0-4 at Palmerston.
So many passengers. Smith, Robson, Powers, Pawlett, Bingham, Louis nowhere near good enough. The rest were still bad just not quite as bad.
I don’t see what other people see in Smith the boy is brutal. Robson been absolutely shocking since he came back from injury and is back to Robson of the previous couple of seasons.
If Neilson plays Pawlett on Tuesday night he should be sacked on the spot.you're at it min! Louis nowhere near good enough? zoomer!
So you thought he played well today then?
no but neither did anyone else, canny single him oot and say he's no good enough cos he wasnt the only een that was awful.

I find it mad frankly that folk would be against us signing more players.
Our squad is really thin on the ground and if just one or two players were to get injured in certain areas, then we are really struggling.Don't think anyone is against it Tek. It's more that we are in a strong position, and can afford to be more careful and choosy than might otherwise have been the case.
It's great to make a new signing, but balance that against adding to the overall wage bill which has been quite a weight this season in order to get promoted. There are positions that need strengthened and covered, but better to be in a relaxed state of mind when doing that than desperate.
Last January we were craving signings, and some were a success, some not. We are now aiming for players who can do a job at a higher level, consequently there will be even less of this type available in mid season. We can get better players in now than we could last January though Pat.
We are suddenly an attractive proposition.
Come here and get games and you have the chance to collect a winners medal. Not many players actually win one in their career. The vast majority don't.
You also have the chance to put yourself in the shop window. Be it to us or elsewhere.
I am relaxed about the rest of the season btw. Even if we had a monumental collapse we have done enough to get over the line.
But i for one want us to be as dominant in the second half of the season and continue to blitz the league.
I think the fans deserve that after the past few years.
We are also of course trying to build momentum for next season. Losing form would not only be frustrating but potentially harmful going into next season.
100% agree
