Could they not recall him tho?

Still have a feeling Nicky Clark might be on the move, but the fact Robbie has used him so often, and out of position, this season suggests otherwise. Rather keep Cammy Smith too.
Think there might be quite a bit of unexpected business, but a lot probably depends on other clubs and their dealings.

Seems Stevie May might be Perth bound by tomorrow.
Though we've heard that all Summer.

Not sure I would want May. I'm a bit concerned that King hasn't, as yet, shown enough for a starting berth/more regular 1st team appearance and therefore think I'd like to see another midfield option brought in. Happy that Stanton has started the season well, but I'm not yet convinced he is the answer and I think Harkes still also needs to build on his game. With Butcher seemingly providing centre half cover I think we ideally need another midfielder and if Frans isn't to be trusted back up centre half. Clearly a few to clear out still too so would hope that we have a couple of 'surprises', but May not being one.

Agreed.
If Sow does depart another Striker IN. Just not convinced at all by May. Think he's finished tbh.

A center midfielder and a winger.
If we win tomorrow he may not want to mix things up too much.
Aird and Frans can go.

Confirmed on the BBC Web that he has joined saits.

The 'Frans must go' one is an interesting one. Numbers wise it would leave us short with only Butcher (which leaves us short in midfield) or Watson (who was chronic in the East Fife game at centre half). IMHO you'd only let somebody go in that situation if you are going to bring someone else in and that someone really needs to be better than not just Frans, but Connolly and Reynolds. If you are just bringing someone in as a body to sit on the bench (like Adam King appears to be) what is the point? Especially since they'd no doubt be on a 2 year contract whereas Frans has only got 1 year left therefore they'd be sat on the bench in the Premier League next season (hopefully). At least Frans will go next summer and we can get someone in of the right quality for the Premier League.

Frans isn’t good enough, the point about bringing in starters rather than squad players is right tho, I’ve never understood signing anyone that isn’t better than what you’ve already got.

Frans was left out of the squad against the Pars and Butcher moved back instead, shows what RN thinks of him.

I actually think Frans is perfectly decent in this league as cover. I suspect Neilson was worried about getting done for pace from Dunfermline and that influenced his decision to put Butcher back.

You know what? I haven't rated Cammy Smith or thought of him as much use to us (in either spell) tbqh, but that goal on friday night against Dundee might just have lit a fire under him. The lad was really rated at St.Mirren, when they won the Championship in 17/18. I'm gonna be a massive hypocrite and say I hope we persevere with him as a squad player until January and then review things.
Obviously Stevie May is no longer an option (good), but still have a feeling that Osman Sow will be cut loose on Monday/Tuesday. He scored a hat-trick for the reserves just last week but wasn't brought on versus Dundee even when we had them by the throat. If that were the case (that he is punted) then i (personally) would like another attacking option in.
Very impressed with George Oakley of Hamilton (who we could sign on a pre-contract on 1st January). Wonder if a nominal bid or offer of a player or two (Aird and Sow) could tempt them.
I've always liked Cammy Smith as a player so was delighted to see him score on Friday. He obviously enjoyed it too going by his celebration!
Heard a rumour last night that Jonny Hayes could be coming in on loan from Celtic.

If we somehow get Johnny Hayes, that’s the championship won

Think it’s just gonna be Aird out and Frear in. Even at that I’d be happy just to let Aird go, I worry that bringing in Frear makes it more difficult for Banks, Chalmers and Glass (When he returns) to break into the squad, all depends if Neilson thinks they’re ready I suppose. Frear is apparently lightning from what I hear.
Even if he is 4th choice at CB, Letting Frans go leaves us short at the back, particularly as Connolly seems to having bother with his hammy just now. Ross Graham’s apparently a big prospect, but this season’s maybe just a bit too early to be throwing him in, at least until we’ve got the title wrapped up.

Heard about possibly trying to bring in Michael Devlin and moving Frans on.
