Re: Utd Loan Watch

Surprised with how this season has turned out for Aird if im honest. I felt he done a good enough job for us and expected it to be a good move for him going to QOTS

Re: Utd Loan Watch

Aird has a bad attitude, which if he could control, would benefit him. It's as though he feels entitled to play, without making any effort or concession. Wasn't happy when we signed him, and not surprised how it has turned out.

See that Brechin/Stenhousemuir prediction, it's working out the now, but we'll see on Saturday when they play each other at Glebe Park. Might get egg on my face.

Here's another prediction: Dundee to halt the rot on Saturday and beat Accies. More egg on it's way?

Great work Tek.
Why don't you become provider for loaners news on the fishal?
Most clubs' websites have this feature.

Or maybe the club themselves should be doing it?

I'm wanting Accies pulled into the mix with St Mirren, so second bottom isn't clear cut before the final round of games: gives the top league side an advantage if that happens. But I'm basing it on form too, two of Dundee's (only) four wins this season have been v Hamilton.

Good logic of course, but fuck the Dees and the ship they sink on! Hope Wagner turns up for their end of season party! 😂

Re: Utd Loan Watch

Apologies (once again) for the lateness of this weeks 'Loan Watch'. First time I've really had an hour to sit down with the laptop all week.

On Saturday past Fraser Aird was an unused sub as Gary Naismith lost his last game in charge of QotS. A disastrous 0-3 home defeat to relegation rivals Partick Thistle. This result meant the latter were now safe of relegation but Queens would have to go into the Play-off's.

And on Tuesday evening QotS lost their opening Play-Off Semi-Final 1st leg. A 2-1 away defeat to Montrose. Fraser Aird started and played the full 90 minutes. Returning Queens Manager Allan Johnstone giving him his first start in many weeks.
____________________________________________________________________________________
On Saturday, Billy King was not in the squad for Gillingham who comfortably won 0-3 away at Blackpool.
____________________________________________________________________________________
On Saturday, William Edjenguele played the full 90 minutes as his Falkirk side came back from behind to record a 3-2 home win against Champions Ross County. Despite this fine result it was a case of 'too little, too late' for  'The Bairns' who were relegated on goal difference and will now play in Scotland's 3rd tier for the first time since 1980.
____________________________________________________________________________________
On Saturday, Thomas Scobbie played the full 90 minutes for Brechin City who were relegated to Scotland's 4th tier after failing to overcome 10-man Stenhousemuir at home in a 1-1 draw. the result means Brechin are automatically demoted and Stenhousemuir (who finished 1 point better off) are in the relegation Play-Off spot.
____________________________________________________________________________________
On Saturday, Declan Glass played the full 90 minutes (and scored) in Airdrie's 1-4 away win at Stranraer. The result left 'The Diamonds' a comfortable 5th in League One and not far off the play-Off's in the end.
____________________________________________________________________________________
On Saturday, Clyde FC's finally surrendered their title challenge to Peterhead as they went down 2-1 away to Cowdenbeath. Scott Banks came on in the 57th minute (and Clyde scored seconds later) but it was a day of disappointment for 'the Bully wee' who now have to take their chances in the Play-Off's after Jim McInally's Peterhead wrapped up league Two with a 0-2 away win at Hampden against Queens Park.

On a happier note for the Lanarkshire side they were back in action on Tuesday evening and won the 1st Leg of the League One Play-Off Semi Final. Their 0-1 away win in the Capital against Edinburgh City puts them in the driving seat for the 2nd leg. Scott Banks was an 80th minute substitute on this occasion.
____________________________________________________________________________________

On Sunday, Adam Barton was a late 87th minute substitute for Connah's Quay Nomads but the game was already lost for his side by that point as CQN lost The Welsh Cup Final 0-3 to The New Saints.
____________________________________________________________________________________
On Saturday, Mati Zata played the full 90 minutes as Tayport were held to a disappointing 1-1 home draw with Blairgowrie in a Consolation Cup Tie match. Kieran Inglis did not feature.
____________________________________________________________________________________
And finally for this week Broughty Athletic JFc (and our young forward Louis Appere) have been very busy these past few days. On Saturday past they defeated Glenrothes 0-2 away from home (apologies no info on scorers or minutes for Louis).

On Monday evening they won 0-4 away to local rivals Downfield in the Thorntons Property Cup. Young Appere notching two on the night for Broughty.

And on Wednesday evening young Louis Appere again led the line for Broughty alone up front as they dismantled Scone Thistle 9-0 at home in the DJ Laing East Region Cup. Young Louis wading in with Broughty's 9th and final goal of the night.

Re: Utd Loan Watch

On Saturday Fraser Aird was an unused sub as his QotS side swept aside Montrose 5-0 in the Championship Play-Off Semi Final 2nd Leg at Palmerston.
______________________________________________________________________________________
For the 3rd match in a row Scott Banks came on for Clyde scorer Kristoffer Syvertsen, this time on the 74th minute, as his Clyde side won the league One play-Off Semi Final 2nd leg 3-0 at home against Edinburgh City. Former Utd Striker David Goodwillie was again on the scoresheet for Clyde. The Bully wee now face Annan Athletic in the Play-Off Final.
____________________________________________________________________________________
And finally for this weeks shorter than normal 'Loan Watch' Louise Appere again led the line upfront for Broughty Athletic on Saturday. And (again) they won. This time a 2-1 home win against Banks O'Dee. Rather unusually Louis Appere never notched in the match in question.

Re: Utd Loan Watch

On Tuesday 14th May Scott Banks was an unused substitute as his Clyde FC side lost the 1st leg of their League One Play-Off Final v's Annan Athletic 1-0 away at Gallabank.

But just 4 days later Clyde overturned that first leg deficit by winning 2-0 at Broadwood on Saturday 17th May. This win means Clyde will end an almost decade long stay in Scotland's bottom tier and progress through to League One next Season.

Scott Banks started the 2nd leg and played almost the entire match for Clyde (92 minutes).

Well done Clyde and Scotty

On Wednesday 15th May Fraser Aird was a 73rd minute substitute for QotS as they won 1-3 away at Starks park against Raith Rovers in the 1st leg of the Championship Play-Off Final.

On Saturday the 18th of May he was an unused sub as QotS drew 0-0 at home to Raith Rovers. This draw ensured Queens would remain in the Scottish Championship for season 19/20 whilst Raith would remain condemned to League One for another season at least.
____________________________________________________________________________________
And finally for tonight.

Broughty Athletic were in action on Monday 13th May away to local rivals Downfield in league action.

The teams would share 11 goals with Broughty edging a memorable away win 5-6. Louis Appere scored twice for Broughty..

Re: Utd Loan Watch

Clyde fans have been raving about young Scott Banks.

Would hope we’d send him back there next year at the higher level and hopefully start to bleed him into the first team in a year or two.
