Makes you wonder what the starting line up was all about really.

Pawlett coming on changed the game I thought. Harkes too, he hardly put a foot wrong, got in about, controlled and passed well.

These 2 were the most impressive overall for me although Reynolds had a good game.

McMullen looked more confident when we went 2-1 up.

Ref was inconsistant again in decisions. That is the norm and not in our favour.

Massive 3 points.

Wonder if Šafranko will be available for Dumfermline away on Tues.

Re: Dundee Utd v Alloa 23/03/19

Overall, for some reason, we didna play as well as we did Tuesday. Bizarre, coz Eh actually thought that Booth and Robson played better than they did on Tuesday, taking boys on doon the left and baeting them.

Aloha offered pretty much eff-all  the whole gehm, Eh thought they were pretty mince TBH. We were the better team fae the kick-aff, but for much oe the 1st half the gehm was dour.  There was some brah moves aroond their box, before and efter we scored, just wish there could be mare oe it.

2nd half was better and there was some brah futba and moves that were brah to watch.

Eh thought Clark wasna offerering an awfy lot the day then he goes and scores twa goals. (Ok the 1st ane came aff the boyo). The ba fae Booth was excellent for the 2nd goal.

Stanton struggled the day. His passin was way-aff. Shoulda been aff earlier. In fact oor passin as a whole wisna great the day. We lost a lot oe possession due to poor passes.

Things improved when Pawlett came on, and when Harkes came on, there was a bigger improvement when him and Butcher and Pawlett and Robson were puting on a show.

Siegrist. Eh just dinnae ken what to say.

MOTM probly Robson or McMullan.

Hard to believe that 5 days ago we were 11 points ahent Coonty and its doon to 5 the nicht. Well deserved 3 points. Surely 2nd at least is in the bag now FFS.

Re: Dundee Utd v Alloa 23/03/19

Just watched the highlights. Great second goal and Robson seems to be finally showing some promise. Yet again Dracula flogging a cross and goal. Get him away to fuck. Almost every game now he flogs a cross leading to a goal. A 6’ plus keeper shit scared of crosses.

Seems to be a major problem with Robbie, players having a really bad game and not being hooked.

Made worse in this instance by the obvious substitution being pretty much like for like.

Sooner* or later we'll play like we did in the first half and get shat on.

You could be right about Tuesday. I really hope not though as to get all 3 points would really put pressure on County although my head says second top is where we'll finish.

I have no problem with him not being in squad at the minute id rather he was given time to get fitter before being thrown in like he was against thistle.

Re: Dundee Utd v Alloa 23/03/19

Horrendous game of football.
Harkes and Pawlett did well when came on. Robson motm for me was very good. Siegrist should be dropped off at the airport and told never to return. Think Bouhenna was a bombscare.
After watching that yesterday it gives me very little confidence going into Tuesdays match at dunfermline.

Re: Dundee Utd v Alloa 23/03/19

Agree with posters above.

Seigrist must have compromising photos of Robbie.

Pawlett made a difference compared to Smith. If he was more mobile we'd have a real match winner there, for he is a composed footballer.

The only boy with pace in the team appears to be Robson, and this is something we've lacked for years: It's never been addressed by the last few managers.

Crowds are declining, subsequently our budget must be affected. I wonder what the board are going to attempt to arrest the decline, as generally fans appear disillusioned and unenthusiastic these days.

You think he'd make the bench though if he's training.

An option to bring on for the last 10 minutes.

I've said it before but i just get the feeling all is not right with Sow and we might not see him start another game this season.

This season? I reckon ever. It's obvious we've taken a huge gamble on him getting fit as surely there would be better opportunities for someone with his history and it hasn't paid off--which is ironically what might end up happening.

Re: Dundee Utd v Alloa 23/03/19

I think we will see him on the bench against QOTS at home next Saturday.

Apparently has only just started training the past week and they will be being cautious. Thistle the other week was far too esrly for him.

To suggest that Sow has not paid off is a major overeaction. No doubt he has injury issues as he would not have ended up on the 2nd tier in Scotland. If we can get some of the talent he showed at Hearts in the playoffs it will suddenly look like a very good deal.  Deep breath and a bit of patience required.
