I'll go with that.

Apart from would like to see what Nesbitt can offer from the start. So would start him ahead of Smith.

That’s what I’d start, although from what I’ve heard Laidlaw isn’t any better

I’ve heard he’s utter shite from Raith supporters who watched him for approx half his senior appearances.  I don’t think I’ve ever saw him so can’t say for certain their right.

Cheers, in fairness though I'll wait until he pulls on a shirt for us. Two clean sheets for the reserves so far at least.

I won’t judge him till I’ve seen him either, but I’m not holding out much hope.  Siegfriest is murder tho.

Nae venom. I've nae problem with folk telling their scource if it's like that. I'd be mair interested with what folk within our club think and mair concerned if these folk thought he wasn't any better than Siegrist.

No. I would take the word of the Raith supporters & make sure he never plays for us.

Fuck sake.

You did mate. It was the other guy's comment that prompted my post.
Nothing like giving a boy a chance, is there?

I think Smeddum is very confused most of the time tbh.

Re: DUFC versus ICT - Tuesday 26th Feb (7.45pm)

For folk who think they've not seen Laidlaw, he was in goal for much of Hibs promotion season, including the game where they pumped us 3-0 at Easter Road which gave our support a reality check.

Disnae mean he's better than Benji, but maybe deserves a chance.

Re: DUFC versus ICT - Tuesday 26th Feb (7.45pm)

Benji at fault for Falkirk goal but I wouldn’t drop him on basis of one mistake.

I wasn’t a great fan of his initially but I have thought that last few performances and with upturn in team he has looked quite assured and been doing well along with defence.

It is a real confidence killer to chop and change keeper. Also benji has an understanding with all the defenders - some of whom are quite new.

Don’t know how good Laidlaw is but don’t think he is likely to be a world beater.

If Robbie is seeing something amazing from Laidlaw in training then fair enough put him in.

I think in summer we should invest in a quality keeper whichever league we are in. Up to then I think benji has shown he is decent and I think he should keep his place at the moment. Hopefully he can be part of a settled side that starts to motor now

Good points, well made.

The problem is that whenever an opposition player is anywhere near Siegrest when a cross comes in he invariably shites it.

Such a big guy too. What is he? 6'5? 6'6?

Should be wiping out all in his path. Because lets face it Goalies get away with murder in that regard.

Re: DUFC versus ICT - Tuesday 26th Feb (7.45pm)

Id keep Siegrist in Tuesday.
We still have a chance to win this league we need to make games count from now on it. Reynolds and Connolly at the back. We need to take our chances we have failed to do so in recent games and it cost us on Saturday. We need to make that change from now.

Siegrist
Seaman
Connolly
Reynolds
Robson
Pawlett
Harks
Butcher
Smith
Clark
Safranko

Confused about the abject negativity of supporters.

I was speaking to Alan Combe* and he said Laidlaw is very highly rated and has performed well for Hibs standing-in when required including European experience.

* No I wasn't but I can make up drivel too if I try. You ask fans (if indeed you do) of a team a player has left for elsewhere and you're liable to get the default appraisal, 'he's shite'.

But I was being exactly the opposite of negative about the lad, how was that not obvious to you?

Re: DUFC versus ICT - Tuesday 26th Feb (7.45pm)

I'd start Sow and Pav up front. Sow was absolutely horrific when he came on but I think he would benefit from starting a game instead of coming on in awkward situations. Clark back in on Sunday though.
