dont - just know folk in club. Apart from an old newspaper article who says he cant play on plastic now? No idea if he will play on plastic but heard its our RN's choice. This old newspaper article was published just two weeks ago.
From that it might be he doesn't have the same confidence on plastic as he may display on grass.
Who do you know in the club? I don't know anyone very well who are in key positions at the club.
Finally, sorry if I sound doubtful, it's just my nature.
Pat - I know many in the club but will stop posting that and any thoughts as it clearly annoys you. Do i know Robbie and the new staff - no. But who cares and fair enough doubting as if i sounded like i knew he would play on plastic i didnt mean to say that. He trains on it hard which seems strange. But Daily Record is the gospal.
No, post away, it doesn't 'clearly annoy' me.
It's the phrase I don't enjoy, folk claiming they 'heard' something. The person who writes that doesn't annoy me, it's the thought that they 'heard' something when they normally mean they read something on social media.
Regarding Mark Reynolds, we'll see what scenario develops at Palmerston.
I share your cynicism toward the Daily Record and the print media in general.

Hard fought win which was well deserved after our first half display where we should have been out of sight.
Cannae complain about the ref although I agree he's shocking but Buthcher was totally reckless from where I was sat.
What a difference from Robson when he's got a decent center half beside him and also seaman was excellent.
In the next round and that's all that matters.

Excellent first half, settled fairly quickly, moved the ball well and as Robbie would say, we were at it. Defence sound, Robson and Seaman looking solid with two good CB's beside them. Second goal was a thing of beauty from Clark, a real strikers goal and in effect won the match for us.
Second half was very disappointing imo, no composure at all, no patience on the ball and even before Butcher got sent off we were inviting them onto us. A better team would have worn us down and got at least a draw.
Overall though another game where we get 2 ahead and hold onto it so we're going in the right direction.
Defence were all good, special mention to Charlie Seaman who was my MOM

Was meaning more Collum's complete refusal to give us a man advantage at 2 nil up, despite our player getting elbowed.

yeah just back and the ref did - seen the tackle and he catches him but both players went in should have been a booking each and a drop ball.

Watching live albeit on t.v. my first reaction was red for Butcher. Nothing for the St Mirren boy. The replay from the refs view it looked very red to be honest...

Thing with that challenge it wasn't like it was just an elbow, the lads gone straight though Cammy with his body leading with his elbow, a very dangerous challenge and red all day long

We were brilliant first half. The only complaint is that we were not 4-5 up. Someone is surely going to get it soon.

Anyone at the match able to comment on our midfield? Watching on a small screen it was hard to judge if any of them played well, even first half. Second half they couldn't hold onto the ball, couldn't link two passes, what went wrong there?

The Butcher sending off was a game changer up to that point we were comfortably the better team.
MOM Reynolds always in the right place always made the correct decisions.

Unlikely, Robbie seems certain it was deservedfrom where he was probably but if he watches this come on. I suppose the aberdeen incident is a point both players deliberately tried to harm each other straight red - neither player here did but should be booked imho
Are you on the wind up! Lol. Straight red all day long.

Robbie quoted on BBC website
"Our sending off was definitely a red card, but the one before that was a disgrace and the referee saw it. Paul McGinn takes Cammy Smith right out on the chin. The fourth official saw it, the referee saw it, I'm going to have a word with John Fleming [SFA head of refereeing] tonight to get an answer. The referee is four or five yards out - why then he doesn't make the decision I don't know."

cheers Redford - two players go in hard and one makes a meal of it? easy he slipped into tackle because the guy tried to take his head off. That picture doesnt lie. Anyway thats my story and im sticking to it lol
Opinions is what makes post match interesting! The way I saw it the St Mirren boy was trying to bring the ball under control whereas Butcher was trying to ensure he wouldn't. lol
(A still pic for me is pretty meaningless and even that one shows Butcher going right through the lads gut)
Let's agree to disagree

The 2 players went in high, identical height and that's why we might appeal it.
Watched Robbie's post match interview and he said he's watched it again and thinks it was probably a red card, he was high and has slid when he went in.
I hope when he looks at it again and again they might look at an appeal. No chance the stmurrn player will get a notice of complaint for being equally high.

The bigger picture is another 90 minutes for most of the new players to gel together. In the hat for the next round, something our neighbours are not used to saying.
Lot of positives there, Robson, Seaman, both CB's, saw the game out from a winning position again etc
The fans.... fantastic
Still concerned about our inability to keep the ball second half though....we need to be be much much better than that.

My view is Redford is a ref ;) lol only joking, Great points both - i think we SHOULD appeal. Redford your comments are exactly what we were saying - my man of the match was Seaman or Harkes. 2nd half OMG the workrate and Seaman is 19. Smitth didnt stop same as Safranko. Good team effort in 2nd half and they only scored with a deflected freak shot.
I know you're joking about the ref stuff, fuck me that's the last thing I would ever have been. But I just try and be honest how I see things like that without Tangerine specs. So a grand to appeal it, why not, we're loaded now

If you notice, it's a move straight off the training ground, Seaman yanks the boys knob up making sure the boys "albert halls" are in prime position for Butcher to deposit his studs, practice makes perfect.
