Re: Deadline day thread

This, I feel, is the real deal.
I'm starting to believe we mean business.

Killie fan I know rates him very highly...no stranger to the treatment table though...

I can't say how much of a minter our media team(man?) is. Know Joe from school but he's clear out of his depth. That Peter Pawlett video was the stuff of minter nightmares.

It's not where you're from it's where you're at.

Re: Deadline day thread

I'm buzzin for Saturday.
Can't see Connolly (my favourite player even tho he's not kicked a ball yet) getting a start just yet ahead of Bou & Frans.
Be interesting to see how many of the 9 get a start, I think there's only one guaranteed & that's Sailor Boy.
Could be a very strong sub's bench.

He's played over a hundred games since he left killie so I reckon he's proved his fitness tbh

Re: Deadline day thread

An actual exciting deadline day for once which has been enjoyable so far. Get the feeling we'll see a few more in but looking at it right now I'd guess that Robbie is looking to move to a diamond in midfield with the amount of central players we have now.

GK: Laidlaw, Benji
DEF: Seaman, Murdoch, Watson, Bouhenna,  Frans, Connolly, Booth, Robson
MID: Butcher, Gomis, Fyvie, Stanton, Harkes
ATT: Nesbitt, Pawlett, C Smith, McMullan
STR: Safranko, Clark

Wouldnt say no to another Left Back if it meant Robson going on loan or released.
A striker looks almost certain to come in according to reports and maybe on more attacking midfielder?

Will we get 3 more????

Might get a point off Ayr with that team...

Re: Deadline day thread

Been out at a funeral as these signings (so far) were sealed: got to say I'm pleased with the quality, hope they can stay fit.

Very good interview on the zone. Feeling loads more confident now than I was last Friday.

Calum Butcher signs an 18 month deal.

Neilson saying he will play in midfield.

Happy with that.

I thrilled by this. He is the sort of uncompromising player, who stands up to be accounted for which we need. I recall his first game at Firhill, where, in fairness, he should have been sent off, but, apart from that great. More than that, he came back from injury and demanded that McNamara play him in midfield instead of defence.

Shame on Deniz, hope he gets a decent move elsewhere and his knee holds up, he’d be a solid keeper for most teams.

Wouldn’t wish Barton on anyone.

Re: Deadline day thread

Reynolds has been out injured for ages: I'd be very surprised if we signed him. Hardly played since 2017.

Re: Deadline day thread

I think Sow will sign, he's maybe doing a bit of brinkmanship with MK Dons for his pay-off, considering the drop in wages coming to Tannadice.

Pleased if we get him.

Particularly as we’d outnumber them if they only played 11! ;-)

Delighted with the business in this window. Just need the wins on the pitch now - starting on Saturday
