Scottish cup duty this Saturday up at Montrose. A good Utd support expected to travel up.
I can see Stanton and Fyvie missing out this weekend and Gomis and Harkes(if signed) starting.
Couple of changes at the back possibly?
First & foremost we've got to win.
Leave the goalie & our 'best' back four (whatever that is).
With all these new midfielders I would give Fyvie a rest (looks like he needs it) but play Stanton who looks like he needs games.
I would start with Nesbitt & Cammy.
Up front Safranko defo to see if he can score a confidence-boosting goal or two.
Clark, not sure I'd start with him. Maybe last half hour, he's been out a long time & it is plastic.
The Unholy Trinity, King, Aird & McMullan? I'd give the latter two a start.
Which leaves us with -
Benji
Watson/Boo/Frans/Booth
Stanton
Aird/Cammy/McMullan/Nesbitt
Safranko
Subs I'd like to see Clark get some game time plus 1st look at Harkes & 3rd look at Jimmy.
Unused subs Rakovan/Robson/Edje/Glass
Week off - Fyvie/Murdoch/King/Matty/Loemba.
Have I forgotten anybody?

I would play Fyvie in this game. He is clearly struggling a wee bit to get back to full fitness. Another game under his belt would do him good.

Maybe just me but i'd play our strongest team possible.

I'd have Aird in before McMullan. He's set up most of our goals, whilst McMullan has no end product whatsoever.

It’s an Astro so Fyvie won’t be risked

Sounds like Aidan Nesbitt WON'T start today. Neilson still feels he's a bit away from full match sharpness.
Also happy (and relieved) to hear Neilson say he will play as strong a team as we can. That's the way it should be.
It's the Scottish Cup ffs.
P.S. Neilson saying in regards to further signings that he hopes to sign a 'few more'. And hopes to have more in before the Ayr game on Friday night.
The Ogren's mean business it would seem.
This is more fucking like it.
P.P.S. i think Neilson makes a really good point about the furore over 'plastic pitches'.

Altogether a pretty good performance. In general, we played some nifty stuff throughout the game as a whole. Neat and passes, clever lay-offs, nice individual moves. Case in point is when McMullan is shoved aff the ba, he goes over, does a kinda cartwheel and still manages to collect the ba. Great cheer fae the crowd.
1st half was the better half I thought. 1st goal came fae a punt by Nesbitt, and Sean Dillon had tried to clear, but it went to Safranco, who was on the left of the goal, and his close header went into the bottom left. Safranco nearly scored we a header again, about 35 mins, but it was cleared off the line. 2nd goal - there was a free-kick ta'en by McMullan, that was cleared to Booth on the left wing, and he ran into the centre aboot 25 yards oot and took a swipe at it we his right. The keeper couldna get it, it hit the right-hand post and went in. Crackin goal.
2nd half we looked to be a bit more complacent, and some not so good passes let Montrose hae possession on a few occasions. 2nd half got better as soon as King came on roondaboot the 80 min mark. The ba was played doon to the right of the Montrose box, when Clark put in a cross and King collected it we a sort oe neat volley into the right oe the net for the 3rd goal. (this was his 1st kick oe tha ba ! ) Another crackin goal like. Felt kinda sorry for the Links Park Announcer, who'd just mentioned King coming, only for seconds later to say he had scored the goal.
Harkes had come on aboot the 70 min mark. He was dae'in a lot oe chasin and passing the ba back to the defenders, and fowk were murmuring about it, but when he was waitin on the touch-line to come on, Neilson had telt him to keep hud oe the ba, so he was only dae'in what he was telt. (Eh was ahent the dugoot). The 4th goal came from a move engineering by McMullan, who put the pass to Harkes who was on the left of the 6 yard box, he just tapped it in we his left at an angle into the net.
Ken Montrose is on the North Sea, but by half 4, it was like the phuckin Baltic.
MOTM for me between Gomis and Nesbitt.

Well phobes, I just tend to say it as I've seen it. Might no be as other folk have seen it. But ye get a no bad account oe the gehm on the Forum, coz some fowk mention some features oe the gehm, and other other fowk focus on other stuff.
Dinna always get things right. Eg yesterday, took me a wee while to recognise Stanton coz he's shaved his wee beardy aff.
