Re: Rumour mill

I'm well excited.
I hope it's not a let-down.

It's a fitba messageboard.

Rumours is kinda what they're all about.

Nah all must stay quiet and bow to goodie conway's superior knowledge and expertise

I've no problem with rumours but this was sold as a cast iron certainty with a specific time frame. Trying to come over as ITK and ended up looking a bit silly.

Re: Rumour mill

Did you no tell us something similar over a year ago GC2? Which was complete bullshit so for you to tell another poster to keep something to themself is a bit of a wide comment.

Re: Rumour mill

who is leaking all this information yet we cant apparently get any definitive information on who the fuck this person/people are? I just find it all peculiar, have done since initial rumours.

In my opinion, the tell on how real this is... if its not done by January and as was the case in the summer... will be whether we conduct signing/transfer business.  Typically will be very quiet if takeover is imminent.

Re: Rumour mill

Something is on the go it appears, but from the fans it's mostly, I suspect, guesswork. It's easy to check on the web to see changes in the set up of 'The Dundee United Football Company Limited' and for almost a month the vast majority of loans have been sorted out. Of course, it takes a few days for sites to be updated.

FWIW, Arab87 appears to post only good news about the future, and UniDundee writes worrying speculation, but as Tek says, it's a forum, and all comments should be welcomed.

All I've got is that Dundee fans would be as concerned as us about any prospect of mergers or ground sharing, and of the two clubs the only guy I know who has connections to a board is a 'Dee. He's not worried.

Re: Rumour mill

What's niggling away at me is why would Americans want to invest in United unless there was an emotional attachment? Someone says it's not Borthwick, maybe it is someone else with an emotional attachment but you can't see what's to gain in the current business model which would be dollars out of pocket every season.  I'm just a cynical suspicious type maybe, eg why has MM not come out and reassured the fans that this will be really positive?
Or maybe he did and I've missed it.

Did I? If so I'm sure I would have made it clear it was hearsay.

Did you read my post?

MM has said fuck all . I find the whole thing worrying. Yes we want investment , thats obvious but the silence doesnt help.

This looks more like a reference to your personal agenda for the weekend and little to do with football

He mentioned it in the Arabzone "United Way" interview way back before Csaba got his P45 but it was just a passing mention, no detail

Re: Rumour mill

It’s remarkable that so many people are in the know with this, fans / journalists alike.

Telling us that it’ll be done by this date / that date yet not one person can come up with a single name involved.

Everyone’s guessing.

There’s about 30 different versions of nothing going round.

This one?

Hardly the same as what Arab87 is coming out with.

If you think it is, you're missing my point. Not for the first time.

Nope not that. This was info you had been passed something to do with Cath Thompson. I cant remember exactly as like i said was over a year ago.

I'm meaning now. If its as close as folk are saying then fans deserve to know what's going on. We don't need the finer details. Just an idea of what's happening.

About time we had some answers.

I'm not too familiar with social media, but what you've written makes me wonder in Jim Fyffe is manoeuvring to take command. Folk in the city will have a stronger opinion on whether that would be a good thing than me, but it's mere speculation anyway.

I dont know him at all. Being honest I'm not liking how this is panning out.

Maybe Arab87 can give more info
