before we go to Ayr.
ICT (a)
Falkirk (h)
Alloa (a)
Partick (h)
Dunfermline (h)
now, a draw at Caley is ok* and we should be looking at 13 points from 15.
*would mean 3 without a win though, not good enough.

Ayr vs Ross County next week, so a win in Inverness would be huge.

12 points from next 4 is essential.

Agree. And hopefully ayr and ross county drop points too.

3 of Ayrs next 4 are away
a Highland Derby on the 29th too.
Obviously we need to do our job first of all and the rest, with some luck, will work itself out.

If we can win those 4, we will be going into January still in contention. Probably a big ask due to the dip in form we've hit in the last three games.

We've got to take it one game at a time. Yes the next 4 is a great chance to take 12 points against the 4 bottom clubs, but they will also be scrapping hard. If the performance was as good as Neilson seems to think it was on Saturday, just maybe Ayr was a blip and we go hard over the next 4 games to put us in contention. However, dropping a couple of points over the next 4 games is probably less of an issue if we beat Ayr next time out - which is really what we need to be doing to win the league.

im hopeful we can take 12 from the next 4.
I wonder if the takeover talk has had any effect on the players?
Also it seems RN knows who and what he is needing in january so i hope these are in quite quickly.
We need to take it 1 game at a time and i hope to fuck we can get a good victory on saturday, Yes we need to concentrate on our games rather than Ayr/County but we need them to slip up as much as possible. Nobody expected us to go on a run like we did when RN took over but even the Ayr shambles apart we have done pretty well.
A few have said we should have taken all 3 points on saturday up at Inverness which would have been a great boost but taken a point from them up their isnt the worst of results.

3 of the 5 games now gone and we have managed 4 fucking points out of 9 available. 3 points today at home to Partick is an absolute must.
We are still no a million miles from Ayr and County with dropping points either.
Offline
thats us at the end of these 5 games now and we have taken 8 points from a potential 15.
We are joint second with Ayr who have a game in hand and 3 points behind leaders Ross County.
Ayr have struggled since beating us 5-0 on the 30th of November drawing 3 and loosing 2.
We are still very much in this and it looks as though Ayr will loose a couple of players before the end of the window one of which possibly to us.
Come on United

I'm a tad excited!!
Astonishingly we have the second best equal points tally over the last five games (8) along with qots - trailing behind the current form team Alloa who have 11 points in their last (unbeaten) five.
And funnily enough that was Dunfermline's first defeat in five.
Maybe we're better than we look

Interesting, but it's a shit standard, and poor league. Top league isn't much better, reflecting the low stock of Scottish football.
We are exactly how we look.

Would love to know what MO thought of it.
He's maybe having a bacon sandwich in his B&B thinking wtf have I done

Easy to say Pat but mind how much £'s Sevco threw at getting oot this league and failed. Hibs tae.
This league is a refuge for the old style of Scottish blood n' thunder, effort, kicking folk and getting away with it tae with the shitey refs we have.
It's very even when you can play against teams who think they are better and fight harder.
Maybe a shit comparison with the players we have now but mind how we used to beat better teams in Europe?
They shat their more skillfull selves when we chased them down, got in their faces and fought much harder for everyfuckingthing.
Teams have done that to us alot mate in this league.
Probably a big part of their team talk and game plan.
Refs won't change. We have to fight harder as well as bring in quality that helps.

just reading since Neilson took over this is the points total between the top 3

Amazing stats really. Just shows there are no exceptional teams in this league. Part time team top of the form table
We are very lucky to be so close to top with our record this season. Now is the time to start winning matches.

We've been shit really too.
Makes me hopefull that we can still win this league with 2 or 3 more good signings.

Yeah, 2-3 good quality signings.
If a team (hopefully us) hits a 6/7 game purple patch..... they’re nearly there

Have to say, Reading that, we have more of a chance than I thought. That has given me hope too, unless we have our new year crash again of course. Hopefully not, with all the changes this time around it might actually be our turn to go on a run. Have to be a lot better than today though by all accounts.
