Agreed. Needs hooked now. We're playing with 10 men here

Fucking shameful performance so far, given the importance of the match.
Booth, Watson, Edjenguele and Bouhenna all over the place and getting rag-dolled by Shankland.
Stanton, McMullan, King, Šafranko anonymous.
Only Fyvie, Rakovan and Aird anywhere near it tonight.
Huge response required in the 2nd half.
This is a shabba style performance, we won't get anything other than a hiding tonight

Owned by Ayr United at home. FFS!
A lot of weaknesses coming to the fore - Aird, nae pace, cannae beat a man - can cross - would make a great subboteo corner taker

Another big game bottled at Tannadice. Brutal tonight.

These players are a fucking disgrace to the shirts. Neilson has his work cut out.

We aren't winning the league with that team. Too many losers in it. Doesn't matter who the manager is.

Disgraceful and completely embarrassing night. Worst thing is that we’re back to just giving up when we go down, I thought that at least had gone.

Beaten by a far superior team tonight and what pains me most is imo they wanted it more.
Back 4 a disaster tonight. No penetration from ANY of our attacking players and none of them at any point wanted to take a man on or run at their defenders. Players constantly passing the buck and passing it sideways/back.
Formation was poor, but tbh think we could have played 4-3-3 tonight and still got trounced. We just simply looked like a group of strangers. Passing awful, no pace, no leadership and no organisation.
5 nil did not flatter Ayr and it could have been more.
We on the other hand had one measely attempt at goal on a night when we had a chance to go top.
Fucking pathetic and I don't think it's an over reaction to say we need FIVE players in the door in January and about the same number out.
What worries me is Neilson has been quoted as saying he thinks we have a good enough squad with enough quality to get promoted and he doesn't envisage wholesale changes in January and only expects 1 or 2 in and 1 or 2 out.
He must surely re-assess that after tonight?
Fucking pathetic that tonight. Totally fucked off.

He’ll only be allowed 1 or 2 in, he knows that. He’ll also know we really need 4 or 5 in and is hopefully pushin to make that happen. Can’t see it right enough because no one is going to want our dross.

There was a loada reasons we lost tonight.
Their No.11 was getting away with murder down the wing, for the whole of the 1st half. The free-kick awarded to Ayr in the 1st minute (don’t know WTF it was for BTW), we were caught phuckin nappin, their No.11 got the break doon the wing, we Watson no place near him leading to the cross in for the 1st goal. Nae chunt near Shankland.
The 2nd goal wasna much different . Where the phuck was Watson, even when he got closer to the boy, abody’s shoutin “tackle him - foul the b@stard”, but no no, he stands aff him and the cross goes into the box for Shankland to finish again. FFS.
3rd goal was that fatty Harkins lookalike, except he was able to pass Edge far too easily, and no for the 1st time.
Penalty was just a bad end to a bad night for me if I’m honest. Can’t say anything of the 5th goal, didna see it as there was so many fowk leaving blocking my view of exactly what happened. Phuckin ironic is it no.
Ayr United looked a far better team than I thought they’d be. We were outpaced, outplayed in the midfield. Their centre halfs hardly lost a header all night, but I mean what, 2 shots on target at home.
Far too much indecision by a number of our players when on the ba. Looked like some oe them were stopping to hae a stand and think aboot what to do we the ba? And just WTF is all this passin back to the keeper p1sh? Esp when there’s an opposition player in the vicinity.
Dinna ken whar that chunt Ref Robertson comes fae, but he belongs in Carstairs. Stanton gets booked the 1st foul he commits, but ye think oe ah the fouls committed by Ayr in the 1st half. Then Shankland grabs Stanton beh the shirt right in front oe the Ref, and he waves play on. And that foul on McMullan at the half-way line was shocking. Phuckin dumpkopf. Dinna ken what the official procedure is aboot making a complaint aboot a Ref is, but United should be.
P1sh end to a p1sh week.

A complete fucking disgrace of a performance. Not 1 player got pass marks. A complete fuck up.

We all saw it, so I won't say much about the game apart from these three brief points, only my opinions.
1: Shankland wouldn't have scored any goals if he'd been our centre forward tonight, while Safranko, playing for Ayr, would have bagged a good few.
2. Only three players on the field for United tonight would have a positive effect for us in the Premiership, if we ever get there.
3. Robbie Neilson will know a lot more about his players after that 90 minutes than he's learned from the previous five games.

Edge was dreadful. One of the worst on the pitch. I felt he deserved to keep his place, given his last few games, but he minded me of Latrell Spencer in White Chicks when he woke up after his roofie disaster in White Chicks.
Frans might have made a difference, as might Robson for Booth and Murdoch for Watson.

Did I?
b&t, I don't pick the team, but to single out Edge, who was stinking tonight, over the others, who were all poor?
Don't expect to see him at Greenock next week, but there are several others I don't want to see either.

Ayr looked like they could have played all night they looked far superior fitness wise to our players last night. Hungry as fuck went for everything.
We need a reaction next week away at Morton.

It may have been fitness, but for me it was more hunger/desire. As soon as it went 2-0 we gave up, some were hiding even before that. This team have no bottle.
