Fraser Aird

A lot of praise, and deservedly so, gets heaped on Safranko and Bouchenna. But what a signing Aird’s been for us, I make that 3 goals and 11 assists in 13 games so far for him. Those are decent stats for a winger for a whole season, and we’ve no even started opening our advent calendars yet.

He’s probably our most productive winger for a very long time, going back even further than the likes of GMS and that. Don’t think even he was putting in those sort of numbers.

If we go up, it’ll be in no small part due to the impact Fraser Aird’s has on our team.

Re: Fraser Aird

Felt a wee bit frustrated about him last nite, times in the 2nd half when his final ball was wayward and so undoing good build-up play. To be fair he did cramp up towards the end of the game.
But I do agree he's an important cog in the wheel & is a first pick.

Craig Curran could be a 10 goal subbie this campaign.

Re: Fraser Aird

Hes frustrating as fuck, he needs to learn to shoot when through on goal rather than look for a pass ah the time!

I was working 300 fucking miles away but hey. Didn't need to be there to work out that you're a fucking idiot if you are gonna criticise the boy who's laid on nearly all our goals this season. Jesus wept!

Re: Fraser Aird

Decent player in my opinion and someone who offers good quality deliveries which are valuable in this league.

The lad must have the most amount of assists in the league and should wee Mc Mullen exactly how you should take a penalty last night.

The lads a player in my opinion of that there's no doubt and like above can be frustrating but he plays for us in the championship so a wee tad of reality is required.

Re: Fraser Aird

Aird has been absolutely outstanding and tbh has far exceeded my expectation of him, his dead ball is incredible and long way it continue

Re: Fraser Aird

3 times last night in the 2nd half, we had good breaks from oor ain half, right toward Aloha's box. IMHO the 3 oe them shoulda led to an attempt on goal, but because of decisions made by individuals, not 1 oe them led to an attempt.

No directly aimed at Aird, tho he was involved in 1 oe them, but it seems to be part oe a cultural thing we the players.

On the 4th occasion of course there was an attempt, and it was Currans's goal.

Re: Fraser Aird

Aird is a decent lad judging by the Q and A

Maybe not the complete package but he can put in quality crosses even from quite deep positions

Add to that we have Safranko that can convert those crosses.

Aird and Safranko are massively important to us right now and have combined for most of our recent goals.

Those two and Fyvie if they stay fit and playing should help fire us to the title

Re: Fraser Aird

Aird is a really decent player at this level.  Don't think he's every played any games in the top flight?  so who knows how he'd get on there if we do go up.  But right now he's a very good asset to have.

Re: Fraser Aird

Ken what, the laddie had a drop in form and confidence that saw if take a step down and rebuild. He then jumped ship tae us and took a lot of shite furrit.

He's coming on great, has potential to be better and seems to be best at trying to improve in sections of targets if you get that, like getting intae the team 1st, gelling with and feeding with assists, scoring might be last priority. Even played in defence and didnae greet about it.

Final pass will come and panicking when desperate to score too when he calms down with these and gains mair game time, support and confidence.

He kens Clark's game and heeder wise positioning is very naturally similar tae Shaf. He will continue to improve i'm sure.

Keep backing him, it'll help.

Re: Fraser Aird

Fraser Aird has always been a great prospect.

Was by far Sevco's best player when we beat them in the 2014 Scottish Cup Semi at 'neutral' Ibrox (ironically the only other player of their's I thought played well that day was Bilel Mohsni).

The wee man is doing the business for us and seems to be relishing being one of the 'main men' at a big club.

Wanted Utd to sign him a after that SF. But was utterly convinced we should after watching him totally terrorise Scotland about 18 months back (he was with Dunfermline).

A player who has still to fulfill his big potential imo. He is maybe starting to do it. Still more to come from him though, i think.

Think he can add more goals to his game.

Re: Fraser Aird

Brilliant crosser of the ball. Mcmullan should watch and learn. His crossing is poor. He's far better behind safranko.

Dyce arab  loves tae stir up a wee stooshie. Dinnae take the bait if you can  bud. Like a wee stooshie masel but cringe when us Arabs dae it for all tae see online.

Fire aff at eachother if you like though.

I don't like fans being above eachother, especially when quoting were you there or how much you go.

I had a season ticket fae the age of 12 but had fazes of mainly only going to away games for a decade or 3. Now I only mainly go to Tannadice and take the bairns and that'll change.

How you support the team is based on how you can and how you fkn choose.
