Must be a done deal. Told it was on Friday but through a chain of trusted to unknown.
Surely we wouldn't leak this to the tully if not.
I will be happy with Neilson if he's given the job.
I've not been sure who will be a success but thought I was sure we need a Scottish manager who knows the league. Want players to have fight an he certainly did have a large portion of that.
Wonder who his assistant might be.
Talk of him wanting Daly

Hope he knows how to attack and defend and doesna bother with the rubbishy stuff the last 4 managers have inflicted on us. Don't know if I've mentioned this before but I canna stand the backwards and sideways stuff.

I'm frustrated that it's taken (taking?) so long to appoint Neilson, when we've been in contact with him for the best part of a month.
Not building hopes up too much, for the job has been a tainted position for a lot of managers recently.

Be delighted if it is Neilson with Daly as assistant.
Not felt this positive about a managerial appointment in a long time

If JD comes as assistant that would be a real coup.

Yes I guess it would be but....
- he's assistant in a much higher profile where he is
- he'll have his eye on being the main man at Tynie post-Levein
- he applied (if true?) for the manager job at Tannie, not the assistant manager job
Joe posting on Mad the Tully have Neilson as a done deal with Crawford as assistant.

Pretty sure Austin MacPhee is Assistant Manager at Hearts and Daly is first team coach so it could be seen as a step-up.

Neilson’s agreed terms with us. Set to be unveiled in the next 24 hours.
S. Crawford’s coming in as his assistant, Ellis to be kept on as well. No word of JD though.

Happy enough with that appointment.
Seems the best out of the list of candidates
Although I’m not fully convinced of Martin, this goes down as a win for him and should give him some leeway with the fans for now

According to Daily Mail writer Stephen McGowan Thistle are making a push to land Neilson as manager.

Hopefully if he has agreed terms with us that should be it and he will tell Thistle to bolt.

If Thistle are wanting to speak to him he’d be stupid not to listen to both teams. Any of us would do the same if we had two employers wanting us. Just hopefully the size, statute and possibilities at Utd are more than theirs. Still believe he’ll be in training tomorrow

if we can't offer more than a team in our league Financially and in terms of potential then we have sunk further than I thought!
