Get what you are saying Tangy - i feel a compromise in that i agree it could be a combination of both where we are and possibly how we are run (as i have no idea how we are actually run) - thats just perception.
And i am impressed by ellis and his comms so dont get me wrong. Im going tomorrow so hoping to see proof in the pudding as a starter.
I stand by the fact he is less experienced than Houston was and was part of a very bad period - Houston wasnt

And he had a good team to takeover.

I'm not a fan of this apparent 'trial by two games' approach that seems to have built up around Ellis.
If he's the man for the job, then why would that change if he doesn't win these games? Surely it's about a bit more than that.
Anyone could feasibly go into the dugout and win a couple of games. If he's the man for the job he has to win games.
Immediately.
The fans are at the end of their tether. That is why the patience of some (myself included) can only afford him the patience of a couple of games to show his capabilities in the Dug-Out before we move on.
This season is too important to dither and we are already into October here and are in a situation where we have no Manager and question marks over several of the Summer signings.
I get what you're saying bud. And largely agree. But hypothetical situation: there's a marked improvement in performances next two games but we win neither. Entirely possible. What then? Is he not the man for the job? Or if we get the same dirge as we got under Laszlo but scrape two wins?
It's a daft and myopic way to select a new manager. And as much as we can say to look at performances as well as results, it's guaranteed that there will be a groundswell for him to get the job or not, based solely on the results he gets.

I think the board is making the same mistakes as one year ago.
We should have had someone lined up, and as Trap 6 says above, how do we judge the situation following the various outcomes possible?
Our performances took an upturn when Laurie Ellis took over last season, and we replaced him.
In any case, I cannae see the sense in staying with a remnant from past failures, when the board are pointing to the massive changes they've made behind the scenes.

I've nae idea who wants the job, who will do well for us or who the board want.
I think we need a Scottish management team that know the league well and can be easily understood by and motivate the squad we have to the max.
Looking at the votes registered here we want Neilson with Robson as assistant.
I have no clue what the outcome will be (speculation all round is driving me mad) and have an underlying hope of something yet unknown. We need luck and a good backing fae the support whenever the new or newish management team come in for fkn sure.
I will give the team and Ellis my utter drunken backing tomorrow. Well ok im driving so maybe sober backing.
For those in and around ek ish area - i live eaglesham and have space and picking a mate up in EK tomorrow. Happy to give a lift!

We've all got oor ain preferences as to who would be our choice of Manager, but dinna think anybody would be unhappy we Neilson, but aye, yer right enough LocheeFleet. If MM doesna get his finger oot, he'll be offered a joab at Dens on Monday.

I want the new manager to be backed up with cash for new players. I'm realistic and patient enough over the last while whilst understanding we have to live within our budget but this squad needs mair than motivated while we await Stanton, Clark and Fyvie gaining match fitness and form. We need mair than just a new management team boost.
Time for those associated with running the club to dip into the cash they don't see as worth a risk afore we are wrecked beyond repair.

Keen now that Martin makes his decision.
First choice McIntyre. Also happy with Neilson.
It’s not rocket science and board need to make decision and get appointment sorted before Partick get in before us

For me it’s a definite NO for yogi or elvis
do we have any cash left? If not i fear for us. Those losers on 2 and 3 year contracts suggest to me execs at our club ok with being down for a few years.
Thats a dangerous thought

Sure we have fuckall in the budget left. We need a cash injection to get going. Who is willing to dip into their ain pockets? The way things are we will drop in gates. New manager bounce can't be relied on, on it's own.
We need new players on top of new manager for fkn sure.
agree - we dont have the quality of players to get up imo

Neilson odds slashed, at partick game today looking our next opponents putting 2 and 2 together

That's the harsh reality. They also can't cope with the pressure.
I will back them like fuck if they show fight and determination though.
This is our lowest time in my memory but we need support in so many ways.
Neilson seems to make sense to me but im a bird and dont really have a clue

Neilson has grown on me and i want him over McIntyre or hughes
