To be fair, that’s only for 53% of the club. So the club is valued at just under £1m.
I hope that makes you feel a wee bit better.
Plus you’re effectively taking the debt on as well.
Unfortunately it’s not quite as simple as finding 500k and that’s job done.

Don’t want to tempt fate, but how could anyone possibly put us any deeper in the shit? At worst the new owners could only ever be as bad as Thompson, no?

I am delighted to see that Thompson’s shares have been sold at long last as it is excellent news that he is gone now. I can understand why the two local business men do not want to be named and can respect that if that's their decision.
I assume "continue to progress long term investment opportunities" means the hunt for American investment.

They have seen how people have treated MM since he took over and tarred him with a brush because he was associated with ST.
They have seen how ST was treated when he ballsed up and started to not give a fuck.**
They don't want to se exposed to the same treatment if things don't improve immediately or even at all.
