Should get binned for it, which would be no loss to us, must be better wingers out there!
Was it genuine applause or sarcastic applause?

We got the goals at the right time then spent the rest of the first 60m making sure Brechin didn't get a look in. The red card changed the flow of the game. Both Mcmullans bookings were the act of a brainless numpty. The game was heading towards 5 or 6 nil until.
Every United fan would have accepted 4-1 before the game considering the week we have had, churlish to complain.

Eh couldni care aboot McMullan he’s an idiot and was the worst player on the park the day apart fay their keeper. He should oh been hooked at HT due ti his performance.
Good result the day with Morton taking points aff St Midden tay.
While hes on the pitch and being a liability i do care. Big up to you for not caring ✌

Can't wait to see how SmeDum defends McMullan and insinuates we're all arseholes.
Looked good and did enough in the two spells at the start of each half.
Cammy Ballantyne did well going forward when he came on and might give us an option, though it's be good to see him against better opposition.
Only one major failure though other than him i'm not convinced by Quinn and Allardice is at best a stopgap CFM .
Pleased overall given the injury situation, the poor result at Paisley and our previous against Brechin.

A few points from today.
First of all - a decent result and performance. Also a great result at Greenock which brings us right back in the title race.
Secondly - WTF was McMullan thinking about? 4 zip up and on a booking and he tries to con the ref. With Durnan going off our already threadbare squad is even thinner.
Finally - The GF fans booing the team while 4-0 up for passing the ball back to the keeper when down to 10 men. Seriously!?

It will be an adjustment for young Cammy coming into this league. Thought he did OK and showed an eagerness as well as a willingness to move up the wing.
Have to admire the work ethic of Brechin. Snapping at yer heels for full 90 mins.
McDonald has an off day in some ways an scores a couple. He so badly needs a quality striker to work with.
Had a feeling McMullan wouldna see out the 90 eftir 1st bookin.
Loved Stanton's long diagonal pass just afore he scored. Happy with him today again, he was under a wee bit pressure after loosing Fyvie & Flood.
King was decent too, he keeps improving.
Fuck knows wi McMullan I was 90 yards away n' shouted for it. If he's no been touched he needs fined or put off doing it somehow.
Didnae clap him aff or boo as I'm no sure due to bad view.
Great to score so early in 1st 2018 match and win by 4-1.
Ref was pish as usual in this league. How many can be zombies? Wonder about that stat but that sounds a bit paraniod.
Good to go 2 points better than all other than Pars who beat our next opponants.
Good start to 2018. Lookin forward to finding out who we bring in for title push.

McMullan's from Denny, which explains a lot for me. But slating our players isn't on. I'd neither boo or applaud after such a sending off, which was deserved.
As for the match, it's a result which I'd have been delighted with if predicted prior to kick off.
We all see things differently, but Stanton and King were very good in my view. Ballantyne (McMullan with a neck and bulk?) did well when he came on too.
Slating players at the match, as I say, isn't good. On the 'net, too, I don't favour it, but it's maybe an age thing. And slating United fans (SmeDUm?) isnae really helpful either.
Only in my view, mind.

After match Arabzone interview gives a definate opinion that he dived so seems all angry with McMullen are right enough.
Interviewer and Csaba both sure it was a dive and doubt they havn't both seen replays.
Csaba seems affy pissed aff and says he will deal with this.

Hopefully the manager hammers him with a big fine for it.

Have a feeling he will. Diving is not the "Dundee United Way!".

Sorry but if he wants to fuck about like that then he deserves a slating. Squad looks as though its down to bare bones next week and for him to miss out fir diving disnae wash.
By slating him im on about on here or in pub after match btw.

Not sure if that's aimed at me Pat but if so i was hardly 'slating' Smedz.
He was quite happy to hold court earlier and question people's posts.
Merely having a wee lighthearted dig back at him.
As for McMullan? Deserves every bit of criticism he is getting.
Sent off against Qots for aiming a wild punch at a player (nearly costing us the game).
Caught playing 5's (and lies about it)
Should have received a straight red against Falkirk in the 0-0 game when he imo intentionally tried to hurt their player (and for nothing) watch below at 4.55 mark
Takes a totally shite penalty in our biggest game of the season
And then today diving when already on a booking and when he knows we are decimated by injuries already.
I actually think he has a wee bit of ability about him but it's just brainless stuff from him once too often and it's no wonder our fans are a bit fed-up with his actions.
He needs to screw his fucking head on.

I'm no into hearing or reading any style of slating but at the appropriate point some things need to be said to keep what we believe in real and ongoing and fight off bad craik on and off the pitch.
If McMullen dived he must be sorted out and stopped from repeating again if he has dived. If Smeds is goaging reaction I can't say it's bad to nip that in the bud either.
Best keep TT the way it has been because mischevious wind up posting only goes tits up.We are probably all very good at that but that can have another platform as far as I'm concerned as I've said afore lads.

Chaps, I'm into peace and love: not aiming the posts at anyone at all.
Just my view that booing at the match helps no-one, I've never seen any player up his game after getting heavy criticism from the support.
On here, its different, but some players may read the stuff, and same view apples: it possibly doesn't help.
Finally, in the season of goodwill, or anytime, I wouldn't be firing criticism at posters on here. So please don't feel I am, even if the posts appear to you otherwise.

No offence taken Pat and none intended myself btw ✌

I actually like McMullen as a player, his faults are fixable and have a feeling they might be fixed after this so hope he catches a break fae oor fans and reacts the way we want.
Smeds woke up funny n' posted this morning he was posting mischievously after posting on Mad in an opposite style last night.
If posters want to wind eachother up it's probably no the place to do it.
I'm no bad at it but relish the futba chat mair.

Good post Pat. Yer absolutely right about players upping their game with heavy critism fae the support.
I really hope that any players don't read too much into what online fans say as it's fuckin obvious to me that you get far more negative comments written/typed to positive plus fake fans of the opposition trying to affect yer teams online support.(not here I think but rife on Mad)
Nae offence intended if yi take it but a lot off online fans get carried away with their ain online ego and opinion.
Players and most fans should probably disregard the majority of online shit they can read.

You may have a point about that Mr Phobia. And I think a fair few readers/posters (past and present) probably think that about me if i'm honest. That I maybe just like the sound of 'my own voice' so to speak.
The truth is I just love talking about/discussing/and debating about Dundee United F.C. I don't get to many games these days, sadly (for a myriad of reasons) ,nowhere near as many as I would like too and nowhere near as most of the loyal guys on here do.
I don't also have the luxury of spouting off in boozers, work, college, school about Utd like you Lads do so I probably relay that fervour onto my online contribution more than most in our support.
Wherever I am in the World though come Saturday 3pm (or whenever we are playing) from Tannadice to Timbuktu my mind is ALWAYS on DUFC in some respect. That will never change.

Enjoyed the match well most if it.
Less than 1 min in for our 1st. Great 1-2s from Robson, King and Skippy who finishes. 2nd a great finish by Stanton from Keatings corner. Both these goal looked really professional. Excellent until 35 mins when the game went a bit hazy. Lots of passing mid to defence, wing to centre to wing etc. Of course it was only a matter of time till we lost possession. Trouble was, it was right in front of our box, and it gave Brechin a free punt on goal on a plate.
2nd half much the same. Ballantyne on for Durnan, and he makes a great run down right wing, beats his man, and great low ball into Skippy in the box to nail in for 3rd. 4th from Pen. Pen. Looked like Willo takes hold of things and directs Keatings to the spot. Wallop and 4 up.
Negatives. McMullan dive. Foul on King where he goes flying. Durnan gettin stood on/injury? With these 2 things in mind wasna impressed we the Men in Black. Was anybody.
MOTM for me probably King.

For those of you who don't have Arabzone (like myself) there is a wee clip of Keatings penalty on here (only footage I can find on YouTube of the game at all).
