Heard last night that:
Quinn
Edge
Briels
Toshney
Plus the already departed NKoyi All to be let go by Laszlo.
United working on a deal to bring in a 6ft + German striker. Manager & Coaching staff are massively excited at the prospect of us landing him in Jan.
Hopefully true wrt the striker.
Guess Quinn going us a given.
Can't see Edge going without a pay off and we need the cover at CH if Quinn goes.
Fingers crossed for the rest - would be a bonus if even one of them walked.

Don't have a problem with any of that.
Assuming of course we have a Centre Half coming in.
Get rid of 3 back four players at once? Don't think so.

I would keep Quinn , he's been no bad at all. Also would keep Edge fir back up.
Briels looked promising but injury and alleged home sickness probably mean it's time to go.
All the best Mr Toshney at your new club.
Big striker, maybe a midfielder in the Fyvie mould , just in case , and if the two cb are going we will need replacements.
Need a strong squad to kick on and win this effing league.

Keep Quinn he's decent and showed that again yesterday.
The rest can go and our priority is a right back and a striker in that order, hopefully Murdoch is fit for Friday night as we can't play Tam at right back against St murn

I would have thought quinn deserved an extension he has been playing well.

Briels is a good player as well.

I think Quinn has shown up well under Lazlo. I reckon Briels would be decent too with a bit of direction.

Id keep quinn before edge. But with quinns deal up id imagine he maybe wanting to spend the wage on another player.
Be an interesting month im sure he will try and get a few out to bring some in.

I'd be wary of making too many changes in January, the team's going very well just now, as well as it has done in the past 3 years. Changing too much risks upsetting the applecart.
We need a big striker, Csaba knows this and has stated that he will address it in January. We'll also need a new Centre Mid if Fyvie's injury's a bad one.
Do we really need to change too much at the back though? I know it's all relative to the division and that, but this season's probably been as solid defensively as I've ever seen United, not only are we not conceding many goals, we're not conceding many chances. Our games played column is higher than our goals conceded one, when the fuck has that ever happened? For me, Quinn and Edge'll be fine as cover until the summer, better the devil you know and all that.

Totally get yer points JD and mainly agree but i'm not too worried about any players brought in upsetting things.
Quinn has been fine, speeded up his link up forward and been solid & brave too. Robson has been excellent and on the up and Scobie had his best game I think yesterday.
Injuries can change things massively. I trust Csaba mair than the last few to do a good job in punting and replacing mate.
We're being linked with a move for Dumbarton's midfielder Tom Walsh in the January window (as are ICT), according to the Daily Ranger.

Would be mad to let Edge go especially if Quinn is not being offered an extension of his deal. Briels has looked decent in the games he has played but I don't think we'd miss him - unless Fyvie is out for a long spell then it might be useful to keep him . Toshney always gives his best and seems a good lad, but he's been very poor overall.

I doubt we'd be able to just let Edge go anyway, unless he wants away. Briels was half decent but we haven't really missed him, although wouldn't mind seeing what Csaba could get out of him. Toshney can just fuck off for me, won't though

After last night, Quinn leaving would free up a wage to easily replace with a better player.
Turned his back on both their goals. That’s not on. I wouldn’t have even had him on the team coach home. Bastard.
Briels is homesick allegedly. Wants away.
Edge has been a shade of the player that made him a bit of a cult hero last season. Been poor this season.. Think his missus lives down south and they are having a kid? Maybe he wants to be closer to home?
Toshney - well the less said about him the better. known to be partial to a takeaway. Has fitness problems. Wouldn’t surprise me if Shabbas seen right thru him.
We are going to need to move boys on before we get to replace them.
Can see some lads being loaned out.
The need for a target man was most apparent under Shabbas reign last night!

Looking at the inexperienced bench last night, I doubt we can afford to let as many to go out on loan as most of us may like.
The Cammy Ballantyne situation baffles me, though.

The way they discuss bringing in a new striker on Arabzone gave me hope. Should ken better but I'm hopeful of at least a couple too.
Maybe hoping Csaba can do better in the transfer market based on the improvement on the pitch or the feeling we are due a good big strker. It's been a while since we had ain to chant about.
