It might be the clubs are in a wee dispute about the venue. They couldn't have entered into discussions until Sunday evening.
Maybe St Mirren want Motherwell and United are keen on Dunfermline.
Livingston are playing at home on the Saturday, so it's probably not going to be there.

Never going to happen but in fairness the final could be at Tannadice as St Mirren were rewarded with a home tie in the semi and United had an away one.

That's a great suggestion: obviously, we'd each have to offer a substantial rent to the company who own the ground, right enough. I'm sure that's crossing the minds of those in charge of our game right now!

St Mirren fans appear confident that the game will be on the Saturday, either early kick off or tea time, at Motherwell.

Dunfermline would be the fairest being close to an equal distance. Decent road and rail links and closer to town centre pubs.

Yesterday SPFL site had this down as Sunday 1500, noticed that's now changed to Saturday....
Yes, and no announcement or correction in the media, nothing that I can see anyway.

Fuck off with your early kick off #splfchunts

Crazy choice of venue and kickoff time but it's the spfl dealing with it so no surprise.
23 miles from Paisley and 80 from Dundee!
What a bunch of fucking crooks

They can shove it up their arses, West coast cunts (no offense Tek)
As G&C2 said the geography is not fair, I wouldn't expect the game to be played at McDiarmid for the same reason.
I'll watch it in Dotaman TV in the boozer.

The big question now is do I take a morning off work to take my daughter to a Diddy cup final or not.
Are these things not normally Sundays?

The Final should have been at East End Park or Livingston.

United should be publically coming out and condemning the decision.

I'm surprised the club appear to think the SPFL's choice of venue, and ko time, is suitable for fans, when the decision is quite lop sided. Even a short explanation on the official web site would be welcomed.
