Re: Scott Allan

There was a fair amount of misplaced anger about UTD selling to rival, this would be a major kick in the guts for Hibs fans. This really would be a case of a chairman not giving a shite about the fans.

Re: Scott Allan

Hibs selling Scott Allan to Rangers (1 player) to Rangers 5 weeks before the window closes would be their Chairman 'not giving a shit', but us selling our two best players in the last few hours of a window to a team we're facing in a Final is 'misplaced ' anger on our support's part.

Are you Stephen Thompson, Beharder?

Re: Scott Allan

TEK no I am not ST. We had no chance of beating Celtic with or without GMS and Armstrong, past results showed that. Hibs and Rangers are currently reasonably well matched so allans transfer could change the dynamics between the two. Celtic were in a different league to UTD before the transfers, they still are.

That's strange because i seem to recall we beat them 2-1 in the match previous to their sale in late December.

No chance?

Did you go to or watch the scottish cup match at tannadice that we drew?
Playing with neither of the tim 2 in that game and we where very  unlucky.

Re: Scott Allan

TEK remember  that was at home im sure you know we lost 6-1 away last august with GMS & SA in the team. We had little to no chance of winning the final, 23  years of defeats the majority of them comprehensive. Its the hope that brings dissapointment.

Re: Scott Allan

In over 100 years of existence, we have beaten Celtic in Glasgow 9 times. The last time being almost quarter of a century ago. We couldn't even beat St Johnstone at Celtic park

Re: Scott Allan

There is no danger we will sign Allan.
At one point we were being led to believe we were in for Allan, McKay and McGinn and people lapped it up.

If we were really in for McKay then where did this Bodul appear from all of a sudden?

Yes i'm a miserable glass half empty kind of guy at the moment.

Re: Scott Allan

There is no way we would like at one player per position.
If we did and never got him, people would (rightly) be furious.

Re: Scott Allan

I actually despair.  With the attitude of some fans on here it's no wonder the team struggle to find the confidence going into big games.  Not debating Celtic were very much the favourites, with or without those 2, but to say Utd had no chance of winning is a ridiculous statement and very disrespectful to every player in the team.  Seriously, some fans could do with reminding themselves what 'supporting' a team actually means.

Re: Scott Allan

yeah never a chance he was signing.  Very strange approach from United, never any danger ST thinks we were signing him either.

Re: Scott Allan

GF80 I said little to no chance our record in Glasgow backs up that statement. Dont confuse my realism with a lack of support. I will be in my usual seat on August 2nd raring to go.

Re: Scott Allan

If you were ST and had paid £200k for Charlie Telfer, would you pay £350k for someone to come and play the same position?
How can we complain about running at a loss, then demand something like this?
I understand the goalkeeper, winger concerns etc but what is the massive hardon for Allan?
What do we do with Telfer then? Do we believe we are the type of club that can write off £200k?

Re: Scott Allan

whos demanding we sign scott allan for £350k?

21/7/2015 8:17 pm  #50

Re: Scott Allan

how much do you think hubs would sell him for?
£350k is one of the more conservative estimates.

So do you think we should bench our £200k signing for him?
