Not rated by me. And doesn't fit our develop/sell plan so hopefully nothing in it.

Agreed

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

Potential exits of Iovu/Graham aside, where do we think we still need to strengthen?

A left back is the most obvious with Ferry's current situation. Feels like we need to do that next.

Another midfielder maybe? If we're playing 433, we'll need one more.

A left winger to challenge Randall, I expect that he'll dip in and out of forn this season, similar to Trapanovski and Sapsford did in their first seasons. It is to be expected - maybe a late loan for that position?

I mentioned earlier that I feel we need another centre back, regardless of Graham/Iovu, 5 centre backs to see us through the season is a must imo.

So that makes 4 more signings, which would take us to 13 (I think?) - another big summer of transition.

There's chat that we're looking at Killie's Robbie Deas.

I think its nonsense chat that started from an off the cuff remark over on EF, I wouldn't put too much stock in it tbh

If they both leave we are gonna be looking at a completely new defence once again, mind you after last season maybe thats a good thing?

He's left footed - we've got enough left footed centre backs for now

On the face of it, Iovu and Graham at the centre of a back 4 should be almost perfect. Both massive, strong, quick enough, but something just seemed to be missing in that defence last season and we never really figured it out. Whilst I agree Iovu showed more promise as the season went on, and Graham has long been someone who I've felt/hoped would be one of those "play 200 games, win something and leave for a big fee' - but I just can't see it.

I know what you mean. I was a critic of Iovu early on but he did grow on me towards the end, and of course Ross is one of our own and loves the club. But he had quite a few lapses last season that cost us, perhaps he might do better without the captaincy? But if a big enough bid comes in I guess we probably won't find out.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

If he's signed across the road I for one will be quite happy with that.

That isn't anything you can relate to Graham I'm afraid.

Haha true! I guess 'quick enough' is subjective.

Past history now but this from a Hearts thread on Forrest

"Forrest tried hard but had little quality. He had the odd purple patch where things would go well and then revert to type. He was also incredibly frustrating when choosing the wrong options on a regular basis.

In his defence managers seem to like him because of his workrate and he was never truly considered a starter for us so it must've been hard to achieve any consistency when you know you're likely getting taken back out. Good luck to him"

We'll find out for sure because I would imagine he'll be a regular starter over the road.

This could read as a review for Paul McMullan too

No bids for Iovu or Graham, as far as Alan Temple is aware.

An experienced centre half has to be priority, virtually the same centre half pairings that made so many mistakes last season.

Forbes looks better than Graham tbf and I think Iovu is getting better with time. Keresztes, Graham and a succession of shite goalkeepers were more to blame, plus a poor system that just continually left us wide open.

Get a fucking left back in or get Will Ferry back out on the pitch.

2 weeks tomorrow is the eve of the new league season, not every transfer happens before the league starts but i would like that one in before it does. I’d like to see Gilligan away to the championship or back up.
