Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

Re Ferry, once players visualise playing elsewhere it becomes difficult for them to stay. Thinking about a new club, new city, new team mates, new climate, new chapter, new (bigger) paycheck it's difficult to change that mindset to staying.
It might be a last day of the window thing but I feel certain he'll be away.

Isn't Michael Forbes the highly rated young CB from down south? Surely what we need is more experience in that backline?
I just want the Ferry situation sorted the sooner the better. If hes staying then he needs to show professionalism and put the transfer stuff away for now,and the club will need to do the same. If hes going I hope its early enough for us to get someone in to take his place rather than trying to plug that gap at 11pm on deadline day. Most clubs in our division had more than 3 options up front last season so we definitely need to add a big powerhouse of a striker in my opinion, but agree we can probably wait till later in the window for the right one

Forbes is a left footed centre back though. Playing two lefties severely limits your passing lanes.  I would’ve liked some experience, but who? There’s certainly no Scottish ones available, Jason Kerr went to Hibs, so that never got off the ground. Like I said, I don’t really see the point in trying to develop SCH if you’re not gonna give him the chance to stake his claim as first choice RCB next season. Dunfermline under Lennon should essentially be his finishing school. All going well he comes back next season ready to play Premiership football every week.

On Ferry, it’s not really his fault the club froze him out for the past few weeks. He didn’t want to go to the Czech Republic, and that’s totally up to him, it’s his career and his life at the end of the day. He doesn’t owe it to United to go wherever we’re getting the biggest transfer fee from.

Yeah I knew Forbes was left sided, what I meant was I'd rather we brought in an experienced RCB rather than another youngster. Sam isn't gonna be here this season so maybe a year long loan deal for an experienced player from down south? Goodwin has released a statement about Ferry, see earlier post.

I tried to copy and paste it mate but made an arse of it. But if you're using your phone and use Google Chrome then when the pay wall appears just hit the three dots in the top right corner and scroll down to show reading mode. That works every time for me

Maybe he meant liniment, because giving out false hope just isn't cricket.

Scott Burns tweeted to say he’s arrived in the country to finalise the deal. Imagine will be announced over weekend.
