Putting the internet boot into Will Ferry OR the club seems crazy when we're not party to the facts as opposed to "I heard"

Maybe Ferry told someone at the club to go F**** themselves or maybe it was the other way round. I just don't get the excitement to criticise the club here so quickly.

Well actually I do.

Agree.  The full facts aren't known here.  Whatever way you look at it, it's a big deal to Will and it is also a big deal to the club.  I'm confident that we'll end up with the right outcome for both parties.  Will really shouldn't have dropped the golf post though (that was unprofessional).  I don't think it is unprofessional for the club to announce the Czech bid acceptance - that's wholly above board from my perspective even if it is to send a 'come and get him' to other clubs.  Football players and agents aren't necessarily the brightest.  We know some club owners and their teams aren't either.  At least we know the Fat Controller isn't lining his pockets here...

SCH officially away to Dunfermline for a year. Should have happened this time last year and he might now have been ready for 1st team action. Anyway, good luck to him.

Goodwin's record on playing our youth absolutely terrible. This will be the last season he has an excuse in that regard.

You are right that it is a good move and probably should have happened last season.  However, SCH did get a decent run of games at the end of the season before but Jim clearly didn't think he was quite ready to be a regular starter last season and therefore we brought in three new CHs.  SCH inevitably then dropped down the pecking order.  So SCH did get a chance but wasn't ready for it.  From the few times he did play last season I don't think Jim was wrong and I don't think the majority of fans would have cut him much slack if he's relied on SCH and it didn't work out.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

To be fair to SCH he looked OK alongside an experienced CH at the end of the previous season.  The lack of an experienced CH last season is on Jim.  Bert was clearly supposed to be that player, but his lack of speed and aerial prowess meant he wasn't the answer to anything...

That last line could also be applied to the clubs stance on the Will Ferry affair. If the club had just folded and sold him to the first lowball offer from the states they would be getting abuse for that 100%

With news of Stirton's imminent departure to Ayr that leaves us with.

2 Strikers and no wingers currently at the club (Randall still obviously not here).

Season starts a week tomorrow 🫤

Anyone else get the feeling these league cup games could be a tough watch?

They’re always a tough watch as it’s the start of a new season and loads of new faces having to gel.

WhatsApp chat I’m in says Togo striker signing (usually good source), not heard about a winger but hopefully both happen this week

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

Picking names out of thin air here, but 6ft 3 Togo strikers could be:

Mansour Ouro-Tagba (21 - FC Koln)

Or

Idjessi Metsoko (24 - Viktoria Plzen)

Both in the Togo squad earlier this year.

I'd prefer a hard man up from than a big Jessie.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

Idjessi Metsoko officially signed.

Season long loan from Viktoria Plzen. United have the option to buy.

Thank God another Striker is in the door. Time for a winger or two now.

Couple of commas and we'd have our man.

Makes Camara look like a fat lad

Now we've got a pair of Jessies upfront, not for the first time either.

Welcome to the club though, please be brilliant!

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

I have a good feeling about this. The spine of the side really taking shape.

Jim goes 433 with Togo striker smashing them in.

Top at Christmas 😄

Hopefully this is the season that sees him make his mark. I've not really rated him so far but he is only young and this could be a great move for him and us.
