Doesn't Randall have to wait 21 days since his last involvement in the world cup?

I don't know.  Sounds like a daft rule, if true.

To be fair, I did say maybe about an appearance from the bench.

 
I read about it yesterday in regards to Thelo Asgard who is out of The Rangers opening league fixture due to the same rule.

Im not even sure Randall is here yet? Although thats purely guesswork on my part

Why would he? Surely it's better to get him back fully rested? The laddie has basically played and trained all summer. He needs a break. Look at Sapsford last season.

Not specific to Randall, but I'd hope not, otherwise it's not really a rule. The pressure on a returning player to declare himself available if his manager wanted him to play would be huge. It's right that they get a proper break.

We currently have two fit Strikers at the club (presumably Metsoko will need a couple of weeks to go through a pre-season before featuring).

If Sapsford or Rose get injured we're struggling big time.

I think Metsoko will be at similar stage of fitness as rest of the squad, the Czech league starts similar time as ours and he’ll have been doing pre season for few weeks already I think.

For me Stirton is not ready,it won't make any difference. I think we might see at least one more in before Saturday with a bit of luck. Either way,we really should be absolutely pissing that group.

Approach things right and we coast through, piss about, try to be too clever and change things too much and the Goodwin out shouts will be heard before the league season kicks off.

It's not a diddy/pre-season fitness builder/inconvenience, it's the most winnable proper trophy we compete for.

 

I predict we will emerge victorious despite the devastating absence of Owen Stirton.
