We treat the league cup as an insignificance, so not worried about how these friendly games go, be the first time a lot of them have played together and there's still a few boys missing and signings to come in.
Is it on the plastic?
On the grass pitch next to the rugby standAh right so it's a bounce match on the training grounds then?
Yeah mate it was.

I know its early and I dont wanna get negative too soon. But St Johnstone seem to be hitting the ground running in pre season whilst we seem to be hitting the ground face first. Be nice to hear about some signings because, as Tek has mentioned, the 1st group game is 1 week away and we dont look anywhere near ready for it. Not a word from the club about anything at all either.

We all appreciate that the transfer window runs into September and it's not that simple, but it's still the same key positions we're lacking in, no real wide players, no out and out centre forward, a left back, and another centre half at least is required.
Every year we seem to let the trophy that we have the most realistic chance of winning slip by as we treat it like a fitness builder.
Anyone coming in this week won't have had any real time with the squad ahead of the curtain opener.
Its shite state of affairs, I hope we're not gonna be sitting here like Scotland waiting on snookers for the knockout stages

I wouldn't read a single thing into what St Johnstone are or aren't doing in pre-season. The season starts on Saturday and anything before that is an irrelevance.

This.
This is the new lads second game together, training + cup games with even more signings coming in should set us up for a blockbuster Friday against rangers

I don't like losing any game of football but not going to lose any sleep about a defeat at St Andrews when we have a mix of new old and youth players working on what appears to be a new system.
