It's becoming boring you and others jumping on his every post tbh.

I heard the exact same thing he did this morning.

That Ferry's pissed off that the club are trying to strong arm him out the door effectively.

He's supposedly happy to see out his last year unless it's one of the MLS two.

I'm hardly jumping on his every post.  I do however have an issue with a poster who absolutely never says anything positive about the club.  I am not this regime's biggest fan but there is absolutely no reason to be so negative and then get personal when someone doesn't agree with an opinion.  If you don't want to be bored then maybe a clearer direction on abusive posts may help?

As for Ferry, he seems to have forgotten about the privilege he has being a professional footballer.  He needs to realise that first and foremost the club that has given him the platform need to make a return on its most saleable asset.  He clearly wants away and a bit of patience and professionalism will get him the move he wants.  Maybe going to the gym rather than the golf course would keep him fit - he just looks like an overly pampered spoilt brat by his post.

1 year left on contract. What would it take, money wise? I think his reputation took a real hit last season - but still a good centre back for our level overall.

I think £600,000 would see him depart (with add-on's).

I'd be disappointed if Graham left.  He didn't have a good season last season and I think the armband put a lot of pressure on him.  Hopefully he can find a decent partnership with Forbes and build the confidence again.

Ah, wasn't aware of that.  Does that mean that he's still going with the 3 CH approach for next season?  Unless Ross is off?

It’s not like he’s saying “I’m not going anywhere other than Barcelona, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich”. There is genuinely interest from the MLS, so your Sydney Sweeney analogy is a bit of a false equivalency.

I’m told he’s happy to play out the last year of his contract rather than be forced into taking a move he doesn’t want. The club aren’t happy about this, but fuck them. I don’t personally care about transfer fees we receive, as we never see the benefit of them on the pitch anyway. Ferry staying for the last year of his contract is probably more beneficial to us as fans from a purely footballing perspective.

End of the day, I support United purely for their endeavors on the pitch, not as an entity who’s sole focus is to claw back an ill-advised investment for the naive owner who implicitly trusted a snake-oil salesman despite being told by multiple people to watch what he’s doing.

Anymore personal abuse. Immediate ban.

And p.s. you jump on way to many of his posts, as do others. It derails every thread and often leads to things getting personal. And it too will no longer stand.

MLS transfer window not open until July 2013. He can play golf until then, unless his agent can find something else.

Fair enough.  I don't think I am the problem here.  If people insult me or make personal digs that are not justified I will respond accordingly just as I would face to face.

Maybe if you follow through on your threat then things will improve here.  I am not here to be lectured though so if that is your intention then happy to leave you to it.

Telling you how I am going to run my Forum going forward. I'm not having numerous threads derailed with tit for tat nonsense.

You have every right to respond, but there is a DM function for a reason.

I'm not necessarily convinced the DM function is a sensible route for dealing with some posters.  If I'm personally abused in open forum then I'll retort in the same forum.  If I know that abusive posters are being dealt with then fine, I'll leave you to do so but may use the DM function to you if I think you're being too tardy in doing so.

Doesn’t mean they can’t agree a deal now. All a transfer window means is the player can’t officially register to play for a club until a certain date.

They could bid for him tomorrow if they wanted to.

With respect Finn, it's my Forum and I'll run it however I see fit. I'm not here to act on the whim or wants of others.

I'll respond to your DM now however and I suggest we correspond that way on this subject and we can let this thread return to what we all are here for (to read and debate about Utd).

Thank you.

Down to two Strikers at the club (and one not an out and out Striker).

We need to get into gear signings wise.

I've no issue with those two going out on loan to championship clubs, but as far as Stirton goes I think he will end up being released at some point in the same way as Mochrie etc.
I'm not panicking just yet but it has been a quiet couple of weeks so would be good to get a decent proven goalscorer in the door soon.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

Dunfermline want Cleall-Harding on loan. Unless he’s gonna play every week, we should be letting him go there and develop for the whole season under a good manager like Neil Lennon. That’s a great move for him. He can’t have another season sitting on the bench or bouncing between United and some co-op loan club. Just put him out on loan and leave him to play every week.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

Agree with putting Stirton and CH on permanent loans to Championship clubs.  Also agree that we need more options up top.  We've been painfully short for strikers for a few seasons now.

Personally I'd rather we cashed in on Ferry now and strengthen more than one area rather than keeping him for another season.  He's been a good player, but the world we now live in needs us to sell players every year.

Olomouc is smaller than Dundee.  They also don't win much so I can see why he is holding out for something more attractive.
