We're linked with him so often I actually thought he played for us.

Better not be by the way.

I'm still waiting on Gogic being linked. Feel like his names been floated every year since he arrived in Scotland

Watched a bit of the play off final and wish our centre backs showed  a quarter of the fight Gogic showed on the night

Dunfermline fan on twitter saying we want Matty Todd (24, midfielder & just rejected a contract offer).

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

Here we go again, being linked with more midfielders when its clear the problem areas are strikers, wingers, central defenders and RB.  Maybe even a LB, if Ferry leaves.

We've got Sevelj, Camara, Agyei, Farruggia and Eskesen who can all play central roles.

Besides, I thought it was the specky Tod that we were after from Dunfermline.

Oooooohhhh yeeeeeaaaaaah!!

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

Speaking to my ex workmate today - he said the offer is on the table, its a good un' but its been on the table for weeks, and he and the staff are on the verge of moving on to another target

That’s why we want him. And it’s exactly the type of midfielder we’ve lacked this season, we don’t have a progressive passer in the midfield. Sapsford in particular I think will thrive with someone like Tait feeding him balls into the half spaces for him to run onto. Rose I think is a similar sort of striker.

A midfield 3 of Sevelj sitting taking balls of the defence and playing simple passes, Agyei breaking up play and Tait getting it forward is very well balanced, and might encourage Goodwin to go to a 4-3-3.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

Under Fat Tony, it seemed any player we were linked with, it made the papers, in quite a few cases it was players never likely to end up at us, and possibly done as a "Oooh look at us bidding for X!|"

Laddie looks a good player, but not one to get the blood pumping, so can only think it's not the club leaking this and the courier don't usually run with these unless it breaks elsewhere or there's some merit in it.

Would be good to get our main targets in early though.

Hopefully, he turns out better than the last couple of times i watched him and they were just off nights.

I think i am still a bit scarred from signing Mark Kerr from Falkirk.

Falkirk just confirmed he’s no staying there, imagine he’ll confirm his new club pretty soon

Yup.  Great signing IMO.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

I do wonder if these signings are a signal that Goodwin’s changing his approach going into next season. All 4 of our outfield signings so far are under 6 foot tall. Maybe he’s finally seen the error of his hammer-throwing ways.

Won't take Goodwin long to coach the ability out of him

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

From what I gather, Tait's not an Eskesen or a Babunski. He's more a Docherty: a combative defensive midfielder who likes to get the ball forward. He's the sort to do well under Goodwin, I think, and should fit in nicely in a system with wingers who can threaten on the break. I'm optimistic, anyway.

Hope the next few signings include a couple of similarly reassuring centre halfs, Luca Stephenson, and Amar Fatah.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

Most important thing for me is both Walton & Tait know this league. We need more of that.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

Last season I was of the opinion that all the foreign imports wouldn't be a problem, boy was I wrong. Tait is a good start to getting it right this time hopefully

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

From what I've seen of Tait at Raith and Falkirk he's a combative and talented attacking midfield player, more like a Docherty as said by Monny above, maybe even more forward playing than Docherty and definitely fitter.
If deployed correctly by JG we have signed a very good player.
Just please don't play him in a 2. That just won't work.

....waits....

Ps not on the Club website yet but there is an advert for a casual physiotherapist 🤣

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

Good to have these 2 in. A core of players who know the leagues supplemented by others from around the world is great.

Everything in life is about balance and feel we tipped too far over last season.

Good solid players

No idea on the ozzy and nz players but fingers crossed.

How many do we sign? Was it 15 leave? It wont be that many as we will use the academy to fill some of those roles  - maybe 5 or 6 more? Assuming we dont lose the likes of ferry, eskesen etc

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.
