I know we’ve been calling for Harding and Stirton to get chances but I don’t see it from either of them tbh. Of that 11 today only Ferry and Sevelj (on a good day) would be missed.
Stirton had more shots on goal tonight than Watters has had in months. Just saying like. Harding was shite though right enough
Shots maybe, but they were basically pass backs to the keeper, one from a great position when Eskesen played him in. The effort is there and he gets into decent positions but his first touch and finishing has to be much better to play at this level. Watters is absolute shite and I’ve no idea why he’s had so much game time. Need to sign a proper striker in summer.

Thought Stirton lacked real conviction with his 2 shots.
Thought Eskeson was brave after getting assaulted.
Dolcek moved the ball well.
Overall a grim watch.
But the big takeaway for me is that we have a manager who makes players worse by sapping the confidence from them.

Absolutely brutal stuff
Bonkers Bert and eskesen have been bombed for some of the cunts this season.

Eskesen got up a helluva lot quicker than Keresztes would have done 🤣

Keresztes would have been off on a stretcher after that.
All credit to Eskeson because he was done twice and just got on with it.

Yeah, I'm really disappointed we haven't seen more of him tbh, imagine sitting on the bench for months watching the absolute shite that gets a game in front of you, soul destroying stuff.

This is a manager that played Babunski at right wing. Then benched him because he wasn't good there.

Yep he's an utter fud. Honestly sick of him now, but we both know he's going nowhere, really makes you glad to be alive doesn't it? 😩

I really can’t see how anyone could put a positive on that performance and it was just luck that we even managed to get a point
Another totally underwhelming post split performance and 4 points from the 4 games is not good enough and can’t see how anyone can make a case for Goodwin to stay

I’m so sick of Goodwin, another totally frustrating watch.
Atleast Watters didn’t feature.

Yeah, i think that's enough Jim Goodwin for me.
Another insipid, shite display to put the tin lid on a largely insipid, shite season (bar half a dozen or so exciting games).
Livi aren't just the worst team in the Premiership, they're statistically one of the worst top flight sides ever, who came to Tannadice with about 30 fans. They also came without a permanent Manager.
And yet, on the night they completely played us off the park and should have won fairly easily.
Without Amar Fatah there is zero flair or cutting edge to this Dundee United team, and i don't trust Jim Goodwin for one minute to rectify the quality at the top end of the pitch next season.
In the last year alone we've played 2 Strikers who couldn't score for the club (Paton and Van Der Sande) and played another 2 regularly who are two of the worst Strikers i've ever seen play for the club (Moller and Watters).
More worrying still is the fact we are handing out contract extensions willy nilly to players who just aren't good enough.
A home match that summed up this deeply frustrating season.
My player ratings -
Richards 6 - Was 'ok' tonight. Bar one cross he spilled and was fortunate to win a 'foul' for when it looked like no-one had significantly touched him.
Ferry 6 - Don't know what happened to him in that magical month of April, but that was more like the Ferry that has frustrated us most of the season. Put in only one good delivery all night (that Russell should have scored).
SCH 6 - He was 'ok', but again, i just don't quite get the hype. I knew for example that John Souttar was a player at 16 for United. I just don't see what others do with Sam. Has to be sent out on loan for a full season next season.
Graham 5 - Doesn't inspire leadership or calmness. Just not good enough, sadly.
Esselink 7 - Considering he hasn't played at all in around 6 months, i thought he done well. Was treated terribly by Goodwin and very harshly outcast when all he done wrong was exposed for pace in a couple of games. Can hold his head up high that he signed off with a clean sheet.
Strain 5 - So, so.
Sevelj 5 - Miles off his standard. Not been a great second season tbqh. Need a big 3rd season from him. I think the Captaincy would be the making of him and he'd step up to the challenge, but i doubt Goodwin strips Graham of it.
Camara 4 - Another one where you have to ask, what has happened to him? Beloved by the support in the first have of the season when he was a midfield dynamo. Now a headless chicken who chases shadows. Will he still be here next season? I have strong doubts.
Farrugia 6 - He's never bad, he's just never particularly good either. A player who will never score or create, despite looking tidy on the ball. His one on one miss tonight a chance squandered of the gilt edged variety.
Russell 7 - Considering he hasn't started a game for months and is now 36 years old, i felt he done well tonight. Got in good positions to score and set up our one great chance of the night on a plate for the aforementioned Farrugia.
Sapsford 4 - There should be a case study into the drop-off in this lad. Done absolutely nothing when he was on the park. If you were judging him with fresh eyes, you'd say there was nothing about him and he had no noticeable footballing ability. We all know that not to be the case, but will we ever again see the Zac Sapsford who we all loved in 2025? I grow more doubtful by the week.
Subs -
Stirton 6 - I thought he done 'ok'. Got in good positions to score and showed good energy. Unfortunately both his shots at goal were pretty weak shots hit with no real conviction, but he at the very least offered more than Watters would have. Though as i've suggested before, this is a low, low bar.
Eskesen 6 - Good wee player. Another who's been treated abysmally this season. One of the few truly talented players at Tannadice. Every time he's on the pitch playing in his own actual position he sets up a chance on a plate for a player and/or scores himself.
Sibbald 5 - Quiet cameo. Not been a United player mentally for several weeks.
Constable 5 - Didn't do anything apart from get booked. Felt like a propoganda sub i.e. '5 United Academy players featured tonight'. Blah blah blah.
Dolcek 6 - Thought he started pretty brightly, but then fizzled out, as per. The Dolcek who scored goals for fun seems a long time ago, almost like a different era. Will always be one of the great 'what if's', a bit like David Babunski.

Ground out an impressive 0-0 draw at home last night against the worst team in the league. Outplayed, outthought and outmuscled.
We also somehow secured 7th. So not all doom and gloom.
Criticising young players, especially Stirton who hasn’t been given any run of games, is ridiculous. He has no confidence because Jim has sucked it away by playing him randomly every 15 games, sending him to an awful place for a loan, and playing utter dross ahead of him all season. He looked lively to me last night but devoid of confidence. Same for other young players.
I do think Jim’s time is up. He seems to have run out of ideas. Maybe he will surprise us next season because he isn’t going anywhere if we are honest.

Absolutely abysmal performance. Took more years off my life watching that than a week in Chernobyl.
Richards done fine bar the one drop.
All 3 defenders summing up defending this season, over the 90 mins each done well but each had a mistake that should've cost us a goal.
Midfield, it's clear that to me that any midfield with Camara in it needs to be a midfield three, his wandering leaves us completely exposed and one player, in this case Sevelj, can't cover all the space he leaves.
Sapsford looked like he'd never seen a football last night and Farrugia would be an unbelievable player if he had an end product but instead he's worse than Middleton in that department.
I like Eskesen and I think he's been massively hard done by in his time here. Every time he comes on he finds pockets of space only to be completely ignored. If I didn't know better I'd say he's fallen out with the squad rather than Goodwin. Noticed him make his way round at the end on his own applauding the support then down the tunnel without speaking to any team mates. I guess we'll never know.
I think there's a player in Stirton, but he needs to go to a team who can guarantee they'll play him 30 games+ a season.
