Charlton watched Will Ferry on Sunday according to Scott Burns.
They’ll of been very impressed.

His recent run of form should have pushed the price up a bit. I think we should be looking for about £1.5m for him. If he had longer on his deal I’d want north of £2m

Goodwin (unsurprisingly) is saying United will trigger the one year option on Vicko Sevelj's contract, but wants to tie him longer than that.
Great news.

I’m not surprised by that one.
Post of the season I think after Fatah missed the pen against Vienna was someone saying we should have kept Middleton as he was a better player than Fatah.

Rumour that Lewis Mayo is set to sign

Underwhelming. He was previously highly rated at Killie, but from what i've seen their supporters have been slaughtering him this season and can't believe the drop-off in him.
It's a signing i don't see the point of. We have players who can play RCH (Iovu,SCH, Sevelj, Agyei even). And we will have Rawlins and Naamo to compete for RB/RWB.
Unless of course we already have a buyer for Iovu. Wouldn't surprise me tbh.

I can’t remember what I had for last nights tea so asking me who said it around last August is a question beyond me. I’m sure when the offender reads this they will own up.

I've talked some amount of shite myself at times this season tbf but I also can't remember what I had to eat yesterday and am currently locked in even though the key is in my hand 🤣 I hope to fuck it wasn't me! 🤣🤣

Asked my Killie supporting pal about this when it was first rumored in Jan and just mentioned it again to him there. He is of the opinion that Mayo is a very good player who has played in a mixture of good and terrible Killie squads and that their overall poor season has led to him being a bit of a scapegoat as he's been around for years. Thon mate is adamant that Killie will be a worse team for losing Mayo and that we'd be gaining a very good, experienced, Scottish player.
I know he didn't come through Killie's Academy, but I wonder if due to him being there for a few years he's viewed similarly to Ross Graham here. Some folk think he's good, some underrated, and others think he's pish.
Opinions eh?

Cheltenham didnae rate Ferry.
Impossible to assess all of the players you're looking at all of the time - some just dinnae fit in their present club.
We rarely give any of our young laddies a run so we're one way or another a club built on cast offs & loanees (Ferry Dalby Stephenenson) unknown quantities (Sapsford, Agyei) and flops (Watters). Oh aye and what category you fit thon goalie into - complete fxxxing disaster.
Opinions eh ? I'm happy to give Jim a very solid 7 and a half on his opinion, and sack whoever advised him on Kucharenko.

Supposedly offering Dave Richards a new contract.
Unbelievable.

I wouldn’t say he’s unbelievable but a steady and probably reasonably priced back up .

Not sure where this leaves Adams, surely the next step for him would be being a number 2, they must think that’s too much of a gamble 🧐
Don’t think AMB will get a contact feel that would have been done already

Surely a number 2 keeper has to be challenging the number one keeper for the gloves, that element of competition?
Also I think we've seen that AMB isn't the number one we would all want and Dave unfortunately just isn't good enough.
That hasn't stopped Goodwin keeping players around in the past though, nothing would surprise me.

Think these days the idea that the number 2 should be challenging is non existent at our level/wage bill. Most often you're looking for a passable keeper who's willing to be a good guy in the dressing room, not rock the boat when he doesn't play, and accept as low a wage as possible so you can spend it elsewhere.
The exception being if you're at a rich English club that is likely to be fighting on multiple fronts. There they can offer what would be a first choice keeper anywhere else a very sizable wage to only play in cup games and, in their mind, lesser European competition, even then they're sat on their arse 85% of the time but the money keeps them quiet.

So, from our out of contract players, it looks like we are keeping Sevelj & Graham by triggering the years extension on their contracts. I'd imagine we would be hoping to get them to sign a new contract instead of just having a years extension on both.
We are offering a new deal to Richards in the hope he signs on again.
We are hoping to entice Fatah back for another season long loan.
Anyone else that I've missed?

With Eskeson likely away we will be looking for a ball playing creative number 10 who will sit on the bench all season, making cameo appearances at 81 minutes when we're 1 down 😮
