Lot of transfers in and out to come I’d imagine, but as things stand (assuming Graham, Dewar and Sevelj have their 1 year options activated and all loan players depart) we are looking at something like this:
Adams
Rawlins Iovu Graham Ferry
Camara Sevelj Agyei
Randall Rose Sapsford
SUBS
Harding
Dewar
Esselink
Naamo
Eskesen
Constable
Farrugia
Stirton

Looking at the 'subs' we are severely lacking in quantity and quality.
Particularly in attacking areas.
We will be missing from the January window onwards -
Moller
Watters
Russell
Fatah
Trapanovski
Dolcek
And lets be honest Owen Stirton isn't ready. He'll be sent on loan.
That's seven attacking players down. We've signed two in Randall and Rose. We need many more.
I am sick of United having a derth of attacking options.
Feels like we always heavily rely on one Striker or winger under Goodwin.
26/27 has to bring us more options in that regard.
I feel he always creates a squad imbalance and we recruit too many defenders and not enough attackers.
The example this season being the fact that Sam Cleall-Harding has hardly featured and Bert Esselink has been outcast. And we've still been able to play 3 Centre Halves each week and could even call on other players like Sevelj or Agyei to play in those positions like they have previously.
Contrast this with us being forced to play the hopeless Max Watters every week upfront because there is no better options.
This has to change next season.

And yet, all of our problems have been at the back

Those options are gonna look a lot different come August, given there’ll likely be another 12 players to come on top of that.
Ferry will most likely leave, which is fair to him, I imagine he was told the plan was to play 1 or 2 years then move on to a higher level. He’s gonna be a massive miss, he’s shown the past few months that he’s still the driving force in this team. It’s no coincidence our upturn in results has coincided with his return to form.
Esselink and Eskesen will go. They’re clearly not in the plans. I think the one that might surprise people is Camara going. His family are still down in London and I don’t think he’s looked happy or very good for months, probably since his bairn was born.
You’re right about strikers, I want at least another 2 on top of Rose for that position. With the greatest respect to the boys coming across from Australia, obviously I hope they all do well, but the hit rate of players coming from that league is very mixed, probably veering on more misses than hits. We can’t rely on these boys hitting the ground running. We’ll still need another right back and at least a couple wingers. I’d obviously love Fatah to be one of them.
And unless Goodwin is planning on switching to a 4-2-3-1 - which I’d love btw - there’s zero point bringing in another number 10, it’s a total waste of a wage and of everyone’s time. That’s a year of Babunski and now Eskesen’s careers been totally wasted by the manager. Neither are bad players, but there’s not a manager in world football they’re less suited to than Goodwin.
Same goes for wingers, they’d better profile them properly, because regardless of ability, if they’re not prepared to play like full backs out of possession, they’ll soon get dropped, so don’t waste a wage on someone that isn’t prepared to do the dirty work, cause Goodwin will just outcast them.
And this loan partnership system they’ve introduced looked good on paper, but it’s just another harebrained idea. Stirton’s gotten very bad reviews at Airdrie to the point where he’s almost a laughing stock with their fans. This whole thing of going away out for a couple weeks, coming back when we have an injury to sit on the bench, then going back out again is no use. Find our young players good loans, put them out for the season, and just leave them, unless they aren’t getting minutes. If Harding isn’t getting a game early next season, put him out too, he can’t waste another year of his career at the age he’s at.

Apparently his family are moving up to Dundee in the Summer.
