Same starting XI and formation as against Celtic?

You'd think so, I think we're well safe from the playoffs, we still have a a chance of top six, why not go there and have a real go?
I know we probably should've won both previous encounters, but we still let these teams have too much of the ball and we don't overly pressure them.

AMB
Iuvo
Graham
Keresztes
Stephenson
Sevelj
Ageyi
Camara
Ferry
Watters
Fatah
I reckon we'll need an extra man in midfield because they play 4-2-2-2 and pack the midfield. We'll need someone to man mark the boy Moore.

There were small signs in our last 2 matches that Goodwin has changed a couple of things. The energetic press from the start and what appeared to be a definite desire to get the first goal before the opposition got theirs. Two things we haven't seen at the same time very often this season.
We have absolutely nothing to lose over there. They're a much better side than Celtic but they're no PSG and we should go full tilt at them. Show no respect.
Perfect game for Dolcek to show what we could have won but that's very much an afterthought and no chance he will see the starting jersey that will go to #haddie 2.

As much as I have spoken out about the 3 at the back, I'd probably go with the same line up again purely because we need to get some consistency and that comes from not tinkering just for the hell of it. I see some bookies have us as long as 10-1 to win on Saturday, they clearly haven't watched our games against them this season.

How is John Beaton allowed to ref a game between us and his team? Scottish football fucking stinks

Can’t be the first you’ve noticed surely. Yes it surely does though. I hope Agyei doesn’t put in any rash tackles.

Yeah definitely not the first I've noticed but sometimes they dont even bother to hide it one bit. Just makes me sick tbh. If Agyei is gonna get sent off for a bad tackle then I hope it's that cunt he goes right through 🤣

Jim Goodwin saying that Johnny Russell won't be back until the Livingston game at the earliest.
Disappointing.

It's not really Goodwin's fault though, if he's injured he's injured. It's surely the risk you take signing a 35 year old in his off season then trying to get him fully fit quickly. Forcing him back can risk making it worse.

Who said it was Goodwin's fault ? 🤔

You have complained in the past about the club taking too long to get injured players back fit. So have I to be fair 😂

I have.
I'm not apportioning any blame here though.

It was a signing we were all happy with and it lifted the place, but I think most of us if we're being honest didn't expect too much.
Should've had the chance to level v Falkirk, but the ref forgot how VAR is meant to be used.
No point risking him, just hope he gets to sign off with a winning goal or one that contributes to a win.

First 29 mins we’ve played well and had spells with the ball. 30th min they score. Shite goalkeeping.
Typical.

3-1 rangers. 3-1 Falkirk.
Bottom 6 confirmed unless there’s a monumental turnaround here in the last 20.

This game really sums up our season. Looking decent in spells going forward but defensively vulnerable and some questionable goalkeeping thrown in the mix to make it worse. Beat Livi next week to seal off the slim chance of the playoffs and on to the summer rebuild.

So frustrating. We worked some good attacking positions in both halves but poor quality decision making with the ball sees us throw chances away.

Frustrating indeed.
Scored two good goals, hit the post to make it 3-3 and squandered other good chances on the break. On the flipside we conceded 4 and could have shipped more. A real mixed bag from United today.
I suppose if there is a good way to lose then today is it. At least we had a go and went down fighting. I've seen plenty of ten men behind the ball performances in Glasgow where we lose 2, 3 or 4 nothing anyway.
My player ratings -
AMB 5 - I've said for weeks that he doesn't inspire confidence and we need to look elsewhere. Hopefully today has made Goodwin's mind up on that after he (worryingly) talked him up in the press yesterday with a view to staying on. He is making big mistakes every other week. Not to be callous and i would never wish a player injury, but it was a silver lining he went off today. He had more mistakes in him i feel.
Iovu 6 - Was 'ok'. Very unlucky with his header that hit the post. Thought it was sneaking in.
Graham 5 - Thought he was pretty poor.
Keresztes 6 - Actually thought he was 'ok'. Particularly when stepping forward out of defence. Said many times i would love to see him even once play CDM.
Stephenson 5 - Been poor for me for several months. Albeit he done well to assist Sapsford's goal.
Ferry 7 - Good energy getting forward and linking up with Fatah.
Agyei 7 - Great pace, energy and desire to get forward for our first goal. Continues to impress. Worrying that he went off injured, but hopefully the sub was more precautionary than anything more sinister as we will need him in the coming weeks to play on our atrocious home pitch.
Sevelj 6 - Not his best performance.
Farrugia 6 - Frustrating player. Got in some great attacking areas of the pitch, but almost every time chose the wrong option when we were in on goal.
Watters 5 - I can't take anymore of him, honestly. Just a complete empty shirt. One goal, ONE since he came back into the side last November. Pathetic. Never shoots, but then ironically today shoots when the angle was narrow and Fatah is unmarked waiting for a tap in. Can't wait to see the back of him.
Fatah 8 - Not just United's best player, but the best player on the pitch imo. Fantastic at both our goals.
Subs -
Richards 7 - Very good cameo. Looked assured. Kept us in it with a fine save when Rangers broke on us 3 on 1.
Dolcek 5 - Not enough time to really impose himself on the game.
Camara 6 - Didn't do much. Games like this that are basketball matches often pass him by.
Sapsford 7 - The real 'positive' to take out of today is that at long, long last Zac Sapsford finally looked dangerous again and looked like the player we grew to love in the Summer and Autumn months. Hopefully this can spark him again to push on and end the season really strongly and chip in with more goals.

This. I rarely actively hate seeing a player in a United shirt but I make an exception for this #haddie2.
Our manager keeps selecting him though which is very concerning.

Hopefully Sapsford looking more like himself today see's him hit a return to form and we see him starting games again and Watters on the bench.
He just offers so, so little.

He completely missed the ball early on right in front of goal too. Hopefully Sapsford's on his way back to form like you say. Top six was gone weeks ago so not that upset about it but always hate losing obviously.

Yep a swipe and a bad miss. Refused to square another opportunity to Fatah for a certain goal and he smacked the ball against the keeper from a tight angle instead, with Fatah unmarked in front of goal.. A terrible performance yet again from this player.
Mark McDreary PRAISING him on DUTV. (Have some self respect Mark)
Why is the manager persevering with such a bad player who brings nothing to our side? It's beyond my understanding. All the fans see it but Goodwin hands him a shirt every week.

Sapsford's been under par for months though so what real options does he have? Not defending him on the whole but not much he can do with such limitations up front.

As bad as the keeper was at the first, Keresztes a six foot plus, well built defender, turns his back on the shot, probably at worst hits him in the pus, stand tall, don't make your frame smaller, soft as fuck.
Also had a very lazy clearance in the build up to the 3rd, and did his usual bullied off the ball routine that almost cost a goal as well.
Bert has been bombed, sure he made a few mistakes, but there's 2 or 3 others in there doing it every other game.
