If we want to grow as a club we have to aim higher that Craig Sibbald.

To be fair, we’ve tried to do that the last 2 summers and failed miserably. What makes you think they’ll be any more successful this time?

Again totally agree, you only have to look at Falkirk who have a lot more homegrown players. Players I might add that we 100% as fans would have turned our nose up at last summer. Mind you they would also have turned out shite under Goodwin 100%

No issue with Sibbald as a person, always gave his all but his time is best summed up by the fact he shone in the championship, and only gave brief glimpses in the top league.
He's a solid mid to bottom 6 player, and I don't think he'd have been anything other than a squad player if injuries hadn't hampered us this season.

He was never going to get a 3 year deal off of us at his age, so that and his connection to Falkirk is a no brainer for him.
Did a job for us so leaves on good terms.

100%
He can go fuck himself tbh.
I had no issue with him signing for Falkirk, but this is piss fucking poor from him whilst still a United player.

Get this season to fuck, the last week and a half have been a disgrace for various reasons. Huge changes needed all around the club for next season.

That’s piss poor from sibbald

I'd rather he didn't play for us again for the remainder of the season. Season is done so no big loss him not being in the squad.

If that's a legit photo it's a disgrace and the club should say stay away.
Don't travel, we'll mail your kit to Grangemouth.
Second class obviously.

Social Media full of folk greeting about him moving on.
I've seen grown men compare him to Jim McInally, Dave Bowman and Billy McKinlay, fucking hell.
First name on the teamsheet type player, he's the very definition of a journeyman.
He helped us get relegated, helped us back up, played his part last season and some of this, i'll not be shedding any tears over his departure, but the Falkirik pictures and promo video have irked me, we're still paying his wages.

Would agree with that , he was OK. Not in the same league as Mcinally or Bowman and shouldn't even be in the same sentence as McKinlay.
I wonder now if his hamstring Injury wont clear up till May.

Not arsed with him signing a pre, it’s a good deal for him and he’s been a decent player for us but this stuff is poor.

Shouldn’t be leaving. Hints at a general atmosphere within the club we have all commented on. For me a very consistent player who has always given his all. I don’t have any faith we will replace him with anything like as good a player. Can’t really play for us again after the last few days.
I am still worried about the playoffs. The last 2 minutes at the weekend have kept that alive. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if us or aberdeen are sucked in.
Comment from Mglynn on bbc “it's great we can continue to bring Scottish players to the football club” - contrast with our managers attitude. I am confused how a smaller team than United with a smaller budget can field a team of mostly Scottish players, finish top 6 and have a really good chance at winning the Scottish cup, while our team can’t afford scottish players , won’t play the ones we have and seem to have no cohesion, identity or spine (will add our Scottish captain’s actions at the end of the derby - wtf was he doing)

Best of luck to him, been concrete for us.

Strange one with all the photos etc. Not something you see often with pre-contract signings. A few rumours on here and other places over the last few months did suggest that he wasn't too happy about the deal (or lack of one) he was being offered here. Decision to take these photos hints that this was probably spot on.
A decent enough player but hardly the end of the world.

Lachlan Rose pre-contract confirmed.

I saw those comments from McGlynn about Scottish players, surely unnecessary trolling from him. He's turned into a right kunt to be honest.
As to what you said about he shouldn't be leaving, a club can't prevent a player leaving when at that age his boyhood club, the club he supports, has offered him the security of a 3 year deal and the removal of commuting to work. I don't think his leaving is symptomatic of anything at the club, it's just one of those things that happen in football all the time.
Also for what it's worth I don't think Sibbald has been happy at the club for some time.

Heard we’re after Lewis Mayo and Tyreece John Jules at Killie
Offline

The only players I'd keep, if we could would be
Fatah
Agyei
Camara
Sevelj
Stephenson
Ferry
Cleall-Harding
Sapsford
Of course Ferry,Fatah and Stephenson will be away though. But the rest could all go as far as im concerned. Hopefully they drag Goodwin out with them.

'Meh' on the first one.
John Jules looks a decent prospect, however. Been needing a big physical Striker for ages. I'd be amazed if we paid a fee for him however (contracted at Killie till Summer 2027).
Hopefully if there's anything in it Pan Camara can talk him into signing (both played at Crawley).

Fingers crossed he's a gem. That has to be the end of the signings from Down Under though.
We can't have anymore than 4 players travelling on International duty to the other side of the World every few weeks.
Would leave us with too many players jetlagged to fuck.

A guy who I believe posts on here hinted that deals with Killie players might be done or
In the offing. Posted on twitter today...
Jules looks good, but does Mayo cut the mustard?
