Goodwin himself said he's tried every combination of 3 at the back and yet he still hasn't worked out that it's not working. I get that some people's opinion is that it's not the 3 at the back thats killing us, but the fact is it isn't working still. We are near the business end if the season and still he refuses to try anything else and it's annoying the fuck out of most people. Stubborn as fuck and just repeatedly shuffling his clown defenders into different sets of 3. Just fucking change it and see if it helps? What's the worst that can happen? My point is that take the last 3 games. The issue has not been the formation it has been an inability to defend. I'm struggling to see how one less player at CH is going to help that. We just don't have a leader in there. It's Graham's biggest issue. I think he can get to that but he just isn't at the moment.
FWIW I do think he'll change it to a back 4 for tomorrow night. I think that was what he was hinting at in the post-match interview. For me, Aberdeen is not the team to change formation for so I think that will backfire.
For me back 3 or back 4 is irrelevant. Goodwin will lose his job on his in-game inability to close games out. We play much better chasing a game than we do winning it. That's on the manager.
Its one less person to make an individual error for one thing but more importantly it gives us more threat at the other end. We dont always have to defend like it's the Alamo, the best form of defence is attack dont they say?
On that basis let's play with no CHs...![]()
