Re: DUFC vs Killie - Saturday 21st February

If you can't keep hold of the ball for more than 2 passes the chances are you're not winning a game of football.

We have a coach who can't coach a fluid style, can't coach possession based football, can't coach how to break an opposing team down without it being a set piece or a cross ball. It's gone from being a hard watch to being a miserable watch.

Re: DUFC vs Killie - Saturday 21st February

Yeah, just can't listen to his post match any longer. Totally on him that we haven't made subs to just break up play and kill a bit of momentum from the game and totally on him that we are camped in our own half inviting the onslaught. Not good enough. That was us 3 minutes away from killing off any kind of worries about being dragged into a relegation fight and a sniff of top six, fucking blown!

Re: DUFC vs Killie - Saturday 21st February

As much as Goodwin is overly negative, and maybe he should've used subs to break up the play in injury time, they had 2 free headers late on in that game.

Ultimately he carries the can, but we simply can't absolve players of their part in it, twice v Hibs and twice today they're not switched on enough.

It's United so you always fear the worst, they were only getting a goal today because of a howler or a fuck up, just fucking get tight to a man and if the ball comes your way fucking attack it, it's fucking schoolboy levels of concentration and application at times.

Re: DUFC vs Killie - Saturday 21st February

The 3 at the back is a complete fucking nonsense, why we keep playing it is mind boggling

I’m honestly baffled at why he’s not went to a 433, playing the same way every week and expecting different results, we created nothing today- our chances came from set pieces- tells you absolutely everything wrong with the team, we’ve got creative players on the bench getting splinters in there arse. The best form of defence is attack - he’ll never learn, Fatah and agyei should have been off they were absolutely blowing but Goodwin is absolutely terrified to change formation or make a attacking change when we’re winning.

The defence is dire Graham and lovu 2 big lads soft as shit

Said the same with 10 to go. Should’ve taken fatah off for Trapa and Agyei off for Ferrugia. 3 up top would’ve kept them back.

Re: DUFC vs Killie - Saturday 21st February

We're our ain worst enemy. Brought it on our phuckin selves. We threw the win away, and the 2 points wee it.

Sittin we a 1 goal lead, after a pretty good performance fir the majority oe the gehm. Oor boys pretty much knocked their pan in the day. Killie never looked like scoring.

Then, lo and behold fae the 80th minute onwards we sit deep, sit deeper and deeper. The wee lad next to me says "What are playing like this fir ?". Somedy says "To let Kilmarnock score".

Wha's telling them to play like that ? Mibbee we shoulda sent Killie invitations. "Dear Killie, your presence is requested at Tannadice Park, from the 80th onwards to come and score an equaliser."

How many times have we drapped points this Season fae a winning position.

We're no catching Falkirk now. Now we're fighting fir 7th we the SSBs and the BNBs.

Phuckin livid.

MOTM fir me Fatah. He played his heart oot, and scored a brah 20+ yarder to make up fir the Penalty miss.

Re: DUFC vs Killie - Saturday 21st February

Can't get my head around why Goodwin didn't watch them pinning us back with 15 minutes to go and get some fresh energy on. Not as if we've not been here before. Agree with above, Trapa and Ferrugia would have been ideal there.

If you can stomach the post-match interview, Goodwin goes for team's character again. Essentially blames a lack of willingness to get stuck in and risk a few bumps and cuts to clear the ball.

I know Amar Fatah took an absolutely shite penalty (again), but watching him play has been one of few wee joys this season. Just wee moments of brilliance and it's nice to see a player whose heart is clearly in it. Thought Vicko was cracking as well - we really need to get him locked in for another year. Camara had a good game and Iovu had calmed down considerably. Thought Will Ferry was better than he has been past few games.

Think we really missed Sibbs when he was forced off. I'm undecided on the new boy. Graham has covered his own sins with some recent scrappy goals. Watters gets worse every time I watch him and - between this, Sapsford struggling, and Stirton being MIA today - I really fear for our coverage up front.

If you actually read any of my posts you'd see that you're talking absolute shite. My head isn't in the sand, everything is not rosy and I'd happily bin Goodwin myself. My point is that you just whine and whine and fucking whine like a wee girl. You're fucking boring

Holt didn't give us a choice and Docherty spent more time on the treatment table. I'd rather have Gallagher than any of the three donkeys we signed in the summer but tbh hes not exactly having the season of his life right now is he?

Re: DUFC vs Killie - Saturday 21st February

Goodwin saying hes tried every combination in the back 3, I'm just not sure if hes saying this stuff to wind folk up or not? Seriously man just realise the 3 at the back isn't working, and hasn't worked all season. If he doesn't get this system to fuck then he won't have long left. Aye some happy clapper me

Re: DUFC vs Killie - Saturday 21st February

Felt we actually played pretty well today and should have had that game sewn up long before the end.

Unfortunately we have a ridiculously negative Manager and this seeps down to the players. Instead of going for the jugular and getting the killer 2nd goal, the players instead sit back and invite Killie into the game. A game they had never been in until we decide upon this self-destructive tactic, yet again.

To have Trapanovski and Dolcek as unused subs and not attempt to stretch Kilmarnock late on with their fresh legs is mindblowing. He'd rather sit on a 1-0 lead every fucking time. Loser mentality.

My player ratings -

AMB 6 - Had nothing to do all day, but made one really good save near the end.

Stephenson 6 - Was good seeing him back at RWB to start with. He started brightly and was 'ok' all day, even in midfield. Hopefully the return of some kind of form.

Sevelj 7 - Solid display.

Iovu 7 - Much better display today by Iovu.

Graham 7 - Solid display but guilty of not picking up his man at their equaliser.

Ferry 7 - Good display today. Won us the penalty and had some good deliveries today that deserved better.

Agyei 6 - Jury's out for me. Worked hard and pressed well, but some really sloppy passing at times and once or twice chasing shadows.

Camara 9 - Immense. Our best player.

Sibbald 6 - Was playing well until his injury. Hoping it's not too bad. Didn't seem to be limping or anything going off, but it's also not like him to stay down for so long. Would be a big miss for the Quarter Final, really hope he's back for that at least.

Fatah 8 - Excellent once again. Blotted his copybook with the penalty miss, but other than that was a joy to watch, as per. Outstanding finish. Think he'll end up our top scorer. Seems to be the only guy who looks like scoring regularly now.

Watters 5 - Just an awful, awful player. Not interested. Unbelievable that Goodwin gave him 70 minutes.

Subs -

Strain 7 - Thought he was pretty good today actually.

Sapsford 5 - Seriously, what is wrong with him? An absolute shadow of himself.

Finally. Over 9,000 fans inside Tannadice for the visit of Kilmarnock. Years ago that would have been a crowd of 5 or 6,000 tops. Our fans deserve better.

No wins in 4 against Killie this season and haven't beaten them at home in 4 years. Piss fucking poor.

Re: DUFC vs Killie - Saturday 21st February

Firs time I've been in a while - what a frustrating watch.

Think we were pretty comfortable for most of the game. Fatah is very good and has adapted well to scottish football but he really is not protected by the referees. Pan was very good today. I think new boy sitting behind let him do a nit more. Without knocking him, thought the new guy did a lot right  nothing fancy but efficient but feel he could see a lot of yellows....seemed to like to leave a bit on in the tackle. Ferry was decent.

We were pretty comfortable but what I dont understand is why did pan and new boy leave the midfield in the last 10 minutes. Kkllie defenders were getting the clearances and had 30 yards of space to run into. Surely try and meet them there and stop the attack, rather than inviting pressure onto a frail defence

The leveller was coming - so no real excuses for not seeing it through  so frustrating to think what could have been. Isn't thst 20+ points lost from winning positions in the last 5 mins of games?

Ps watched max watters and feel for him. He was all over the front line trying to get the ball abd its not his game. Probably similar to vd sande- neither are known for their work rste and running channels etc. Get him and the ball in the box and see what happens

My view on Watters  is the same tbh. A couple of balls into the box landing behind him,had they been in front of him then things could have been looking a lot better tonight. I dont see him as not interested and think he genuinely tries but as you said he's not being utilised well enough for me.

Re: DUFC vs Killie - Saturday 21st February

Like others on here have said we could ALL see that equaliser coming so why didn’t Jim or his coaches do anything.
If it was the first time this season I could accept it but to consistently lose late goals is just not acceptable
Really disappointed with Zac yesterday something not right there.
